I've recently discovered the existence of the "divine" community on Tumblr. "Divines" are a lot like otherkin, but take their insanity/stupidity a step further by claiming to be gods, angels, prophets, and other such beings. Here's some good examples of their special brand of batshit insanity:

While similar to otherkin, "divines" seem to be a new level of insanity entirely. They actually demand worship, and expect to be treated as gods in their day-to-day lives. Some even go so far as to demand sacrifices and build altars for each other:

For some reason, despite being "gods", there seems to be little variety in their "human vessels". Every single one seems to be a white American teenager:

I feel that the "divines" deserve their own thread because of their unique flavor of crazy, distinct from that of otherkin. "Divines" have a disturbingly large, growing community on Tumblr that deserves discussion.

We already have an otherkin thread. Way too many links, too-- pictures would have been nice if we didn't have a thread to Chronicle otherkin already.

Ordinarily, I'd say these wackos are deserving of their own thread for being somewhat different than "normal" otherkin.

But considering their specific delusion, having a literal God complex. . .I think it's a lot better to treat them like the garden variety morons they think they aren't.

Angels and gods huh? I know someone who would be delighted to meet them.

So I suppose this is what little emo kids in the suburbs do now. They go online and play out elaborate fantasies on Tumblr, Twitter etc. When I was in high school, we all just wrote shitty poetry. 'I tried to tell my parents I'm immortal but they didn't believe me.'

It was inevitable that you would show up in this thread.

Lemme holla @God while we're at it.

All those people just seem like wolf and fox otherkin with some silly extras tacked on. They could at least put a bit of effort in and rip off Lovecraft or something.

Imagine the heated flamewars over somebody declaring themself Shub-Niggurathkin.

I thought this would be a thread about the fandom of that one character named Divine.

Anyway, I wonder how people can seriously claim they're actually gods, angels, and/or demons, when in reality, they're just as mortal and limited as other mortals. Possibly sometimes even with low paying jobs (or even unemployed).

I wonder if there are any Q-kin out there - people who think they're really members of the Q Continuum?
