Beyond the Firmament - Anyone play this mod? I've been watching a playthrough and they honest to God have a CUTSCENE scripted to play when your airship 'The Galerion' leaves for outer space when you join the Imperial Mananauts. Scripted cutscene of ship taking off plays around 7:32 below:

Morrowind fascinates me and I haven’t played more than a few hours. The game is highly regarded and has a bunch of dope ass mods. But I can’t play it for more than a few hours before i move on to a different game.

Would love to get this game modded out and enjoy it on Steamdeck

I saw a JuiceHead video in my recommended, I got curious as to the comment section to see if anyone was as sick of him as I was, so I opened it up in an incognito tab so that shit can stay off my history (ffs YouTube I already told you not to recommend me the channel) and uh:

I wonder whether this means that Todd actually once gave a shit about anything at one point, or he was tardraging to prevent Oblivion getting something other than Gamebryo during the development of Bloodmoon.
I took that as them having severe autism.

Wise Prisoners, n shit...

I've been enjoying my latest Skyrim installation (I got the latest AE version, but don't tell any1), and I'm looking for more quests. The last big quest mods I've played was the VICN trilogy a few years ago (with aelarr's patches) and I noticed that he got a new entry out about Numidium, so I'm really tempted to check it out again. If I'm gonna reinstall the VICN trilogy+1 I might as well install some others. I remember loving it every time I've tried his work, I think this would be the fourth time?

I also played Beyond Skyrim: Bruma before and I liked it, but I'm not sure if it's worth another install, I don't think it's been updated since the last time I played through it in 2023. I had fun with it but I don't remember getting blown away or anything. I'm checking over my installation and there'd be a lot of patches to install too. is Moonpath to Elsweyr as good as people say or is it just furfaggotry? It's from 2017 too, so does it need lots of patches these days?

What other big-names are worth playing that you guys would recommend? what about hidden gems I might not have heard of? I'm willing to try anything as long as it isn't gooner bait.

I'm also thinking of going back and trying Morrowind after I get bored of this playthrough. I'm spoiled on the big stuff in Morrowind but I'm still interested a playthrough or two. Is there a modding guide for Morrowind that anybody would recommend? I don't want it to look modern or anything, I don't give a shit about 4k elf tiddies. I don't want it to just play like a worse Skyrim or anything either, that'd be pussying out, I just want the a decent 'vanilla+' version so I get something like what people got on release, but, y'know, optimized for these days?

EDIT: seems like I just needed to go back like 5 pages lmao

Midwood Isle is a good, solid quest mod that feels like a vanilla DLC. I'd also suggest Legacy of the Dragonborn if you've played the other TES games. Don't listen to the retards that say, "It's nothing but fetch quests and a museum!". Once you start the Skyrim main quest it kicks off with a quest to reforge the Amulet of Kings. It also has the best player home in Skyrim with every crafting station in one room. If you want something depressing try Beyond Reach. If you have a hard on for Lucien LaChance you can try Brotherhood of Old.

I'd avoid BS: Bruma since it requires so many patches to work with every weather and UI mod. Moonpath to Elsweyr was the first quest mod to be made with the Creation Kit and dates back to 2012 and it shows. You do get an airship but you can also get it with LotD and it has auto-sort for all your shit in the LotD version.

Don't fall for the "Community Shaders is as good as ENB" or "You need a 4090 to run an ENB!" memes. I switched the using ENB recently after using Community Shaders and I'm getting an extra 5FPS in most places using an RX6600. Based Russian programmer > trannies who want you to link your Nexus account to your Discord account.

Moonpath isn't really a new lands quest mod and the age shows a lot. There's no open spaces, everything, even natural environments, are technically closed cells.

There is some fun stuff here and there, but I would only recommend it if you're really bored.

Interesting NPCs has some decent quests and NPCs but also a lot of shit ones. Anum La is generally considered the mod's best companion, I think.

The Undercity and Clockwork are pretty decent pocket quests. I enjoyed each.

Moon and Star is alright if you aren't really upset with The Nerevarine having a 'canon' interpretation placed into the game. Very well voice acted and the writing is solid.

The Forgotten City is an oldie but goodie, it’s a self-contained story with multiple outcomes and endings depending on the player’s actions. It even won a writing award or some shit.
It is also now its own indie game. The only annoying thing in this one is the out of place fag shit between a closeted nord and a homo Breton guy.

Getting to actively play in a time loop is pretty interesting.

You can follow up on all the past Morrowind Modding Madness competitions organised by Morrowind modding oldheads to get people make mods over the summer months on certain themes. Some of the best mods in Morrowind came from the people who started on these competitions.
DarkElfGuy was the OG who helped found this tradition since 2016. Copy pasted list from DarkElfGuy on past winners.

Seeing Bethesda lose fanboys over Slopfield and Slopped Space is so cathartic. TES 6 will probably suck but we'll get hours of entertainment from the backlash. You're not smarter than your fans, Bethesda.

In other news I modded Skyrim SE and was enjoying it but then I got the black screen of death every time I launch the game, rendering it unplayable until I find a way to fix it. Thank you Todd, very cool!

I hate being over encumbered, I hate being over encumbered, I hate being over encumbered

...especially in morrowind. Carryweight is tied to the strength attribute and even using god mode till you can reach a place to sell or store shit doesn't work in morrowind because it doesn't bypass over encumbrance. Even limited to armor I have equiped (I don't have physical boots or helmet since I've gone battlemage and manged to buy the boots and helmet spells) and a couple weapons, I'm still over encumbered due to having a bunch of potions and a bunch of ingrediants.

How many mods and what kind? Also you went from playing normally to now it physically can't load? I had that happen before but it was a long time ago. Try the tried and true, disabling half your mods until you can load and then re-enabling them one or two at a time. Also, when it's loading, is your CPU being used a lot? Are the mods you're using compatible with the version you're using? How long did you let it load? I could go on.

Since carry weight is tied to strength I would recommend using this, it allows you to modify every GMST in the game, alternatively if you just want to mess with carry weight and nothing else in this potentially overwhelming menu, this has you covered. It allows you to determine what multipliers carry weight is affected by.
