As if we didn't have enough stupid baby Minecraft shit with the settlements of Fallout 4 and Starfield.
What the hell else do you expect Bethesda going to fill up the Alik'r Desert with? Content?

The lack of spellmaking is the number one thing. Even worse than the weakness to x effects. There's alchemy but still.I consider Skyrim to be a masterpiece, but the one change I would make is reverting spellcasting to work like it did in oblivion.
Probably. I never touched 76 cause I learned my lesson with online games with GTA Online back in 2013.Or fortnite 76?
There's a lot of writing issue in that game, in game writing in case you were about to say "muh lore", single quests and questlines also suffer from how bland most of them feels when compared to past games and guild quests being one worse than the previous one: the companions is ass, both because it forces you to become a werewolf, which isn't a mechanic that was particularly developed and i'd argue it's not that great even after the dlc, bethesda's overelies on radial quests for this guild and the rival faction of the silver hand is literally just bandits with a fancy looking sword that can be looted from their corpses; mages guild are arguably worse than in Oblivion, dark brotherhood's offers you sidejobs that are on par with the infinite radial quest slob that you're forced to do to become master of the thieves guild, which also has about 2 good quests and forces you to give away the skeleton key and soul to nocturnal.I consider Skyrim to be a masterpiece, but the one change I would make is reverting spellcasting to work like it did in oblivion.
I played morrowind and was fucking flabbergasted by how baseline spellcrafting is. A one-shot spell, a spammable spell; a tri-skeleton squad summon. Why was this made into a luxury? In skyrim I spam the lv1 spell for 1 frame to apply a dot, rinse repeat. The next level spell is too magick demanding. Skyrim really needed an inbetween TouchI consider Skyrim to be a masterpiece, but the one change I would make is reverting spellcasting to work like it did in oblivion.
Oblivion's magic wasn't the best but you had a ton of spell types to play with and make for some funny shit like sending NPCs and monsters alike in a coma thanks to damage energy spells and everyone that played wither tes 3/4 will tell you that skyrim should've had birthsigns instead of those stones.Funny enough, I think they scaled back because of "muh lore" reasons.
Magic is so fucking OP in Morrowind it kind of makes the whole world fall apart.
It isn't. Without exploits, magic is weak as shit. Abusing alchemy to get to obscene stats in the hundreds of thousands for 10+ real hours isn't an agrument either, because at that point you could just as well go unarmed and kill everything in one punch (and actually brick your progress in the Heart Chamber). Under regular circumstances hand-to-hand is the one skill that's completely busted. Why? Punches can hit ghosts and daedra. Punches drain enemy fatigue. Everything in Morrowind has fatigue. At 100 HTH and 100 Speed, one charged punch will bring literally every enemy to its knees, including Dagoth, Imperfect, Almalexia, Karstaag and Hircine.Magic is so fucking OP in Morrowind it kind of makes the whole world fall apart.
I'm talking in lore retard. It isn't. Without exploits
I usually play with this one, it makes running out of magicka less annoying. If anyone knows what mods to install for my next Morrowind playthrough, please leave some links, thanks.
Magic was made powerful as deliberate choice involving the Telvanni, to whom Magic is a means to power, it allows for the greatest personal power, Hlaalu seeking power through Wealth, and Redoran seeking Prestige and honor though duty and force of arms.Funny enough, I think they scaled back because of "muh lore" reasons.

in the ancient words of an oblivion npcSo when I went to replay Oblivion, HDR lighting just didn't work. It used to work, I've played Oblivion on this computer before, but it didn't anymore. I found a work around where I had to rename shaders and stuff in the files.
So there's a driver update for my AMD card and now...shadows just don't work. Apparently this was an issue from a decade ago with Nvidia drivers but the only fix was rolling back drivers?
God damn, Oblivion
Are you using Oblivion Reloaded? That might be worth trying, its essentially the Oblivion equivalent to ENBSeries but with gameplay changes too for some reason, but it also overhauls the rendering and adds modern optimizations and fixes. You can toggle off all the random features if you want. I think this one is the one actually being updated still, but it says it has AMD issuesSo when I went to replay Oblivion, HDR lighting just didn't work. Ehhh, not a fan but it's probably not too bad. Get it at a major discount if you really want to try it. I do not like the combat, the story, the lore fuckery at times, the balancing catering to new players from what I hear (veterans getting shafted in favor of constant new players), RPG elements as deep at other Bethesda ES games, fanbase is rapid when you criticize it from what I've seen but do take that with a grain of salt, could just be that one moment...Does anyone play Elder Scrolls Online? I've been pretty impressed with it so far, only a few hours in but enjoying it. Blacksmithing seems way too grindy to level up.
