The Elder Scrolls

Am I the only one that thinks this controversy is astroterfed?
Not the mod or body type 1/2, but the fact that anyone actually gives a shit enough about it in an Oblivion remake?
I believe this is going to be the new media standard going forward, popular games come out and media will make headlines like "right wing people hate this game" even though it's not the truth.
I hate tranny shit as much as most of you, but I feel absolutely zero emotional reaction to games that have it.

Here's something I'm posting just because the featured, bit of old news but will inevitably be lost by the folks seeing the thread for the first time.
The mod was reuploaded yet again (many other previous reuploads were made and their uploaders banned) it is currently the second most endursed mod right now, and will be allowed to stay, but not without the Jannies whining about it and locking the comments.
What's funnier is apparently choosing body type 1 or 2 male or female doesn't even determine your gender.
The heritage does.

If I've read through the forums correctly, apparently people will refer to you as a woman if you pick the agility based origin for your character.
Link to Steam thread discussing it. Also has complaints about how the armour has been fucked with as well.

What are some arguments against using a Vortex deployment? I've only ever seen reasons that boil down to "because it sucks", without any technical explanations explaining why it is inferior to MO2.
I've heard more technical explanations as to why it sucks before but I don't remember them. All I can give you is that I've tried to use Vortex twice and both times it didn't work.
Can't kill them though, once they're down, you do no damage
This sounds like bullshit. @Meat Target Kill someone and find out if this is true.

IIRC, Vortex uses your actual game directory and modifies it to install mods, leading to corruption of game files if you're not careful or if the FOMOD installer is wrongly set up by the mod author. Meanwhile MO2 clones your game directory, making it easier to "start" over if you ever install an incompatible mod. Plus, MO2 is so much faster than Vortex in every aspect.

Anyone who bought it know if the old repairing bound weapons and armor exploit works?

I used to run straight to a shrine and get a weightless daedric claymore first thing as a kid

Unless it's been patched by a recent update, it was still working on the day of release. Same as infinite level up glitch, too.

You could argue that compromises were made to cut down on overheads, given the amount of characters needed, the amount of characters on screen in populated areas and the need for the EXTREME CLOSE-UP when engaging in dialogue. The chances are it was just Bethesda's ineptitude. Character models have never been their strong point.
I remember reading somewhere that the software they used to generate faces was meant to be used in games like PGA tour where you'd use it to generate a crowd of unimportant models to stand in the back, and was never meant for modeling characters that would be in the foreground or given any kind of scrutiny. You can actually make some decent looking faces if you put it in effort but its obvious that for 90% of the NPCs they just hit randomize and called it a day. The fact that engaging in dialogue with any npc does an extreme zoom in on their face, as you pointed out, only makes it funnier.

The faces were mostly ugly, but in a goofy/silly kind of way. Much more endearing than the horrifying eldritch abominations I've been looking at the past couple days.
