but claiming fucking SKYRIM has better storylines than Oblivion?
There are points of comparison that are true there. The Companions are a shitnquest but marginally less shit than The Fighters Guild, the main quest in Oblivion is extremely generic and weak post Kvatch, there is nothing like the civil war or politics in general in Oblivion.

Smaller quests are better in Oblivion, but I'd argue most of the meaty content the game points you at is of comparable quality to Skyrim.

Fighter's Guild is probably the most boring faction questline in Oblivion but it still beats out the Companions hard. The Companions questline has six actual main quests outside of the radiant quest nonsense. We could argue back and forth which main quest is marginally better in either game (they're both pretty bad and largely forgettable) and the Civil War is hardly lending many points to Skyrim considering it's a buggy unfinished mess that involves clearing forts in the second half, and although the Arena doesn't compare thematically I think most people would agree it's the more fun questline. On the other hand, the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild are just so much better in Oblivion and even the Mages Guild which certainly has a lot of well-discussed issues is miles ahead of the College of Winterhold.

Very little about Skyrim's main quest is memorable to me, all I can think of is the Thalmor Embassy and meeting Paarthurnax.

I do like Paarthurnax but meeting him kind of opened my eyes to how boring every human character is. He's not an incredible character but he's just about the only surprising reveal, and he's the only important figure with his own philosophy that doesn't just feel like a placeholder faction leader there to dump quests on you. Plus getting to talk to an ancient figure is always fun since he feels more tied to the greater history of the series, like speaking to Vivec or Divayth Fyr.

I feel like everyone siding with Paarthurnax over Delphine is telling of how disengaged the player is with all the other characters up to then.

Like what the hell am I looking at here with Oblivion Resmastered? So many aspects of oblivion remastered are worse than skyrim.
That looks like those corporate 3d animated commercials that Grubhub put out a long time ago. Kroger uses them here. Serious uncanny valley shit.

Watched the tea man's video on TES4R. Yeah, it's as broken as I remember it.

I didn't know that if you push against a tumblr that's already locked in place you skill up for free. That seems a bit stupid. The item dupe is VERY stupid. Stealth is broken as shit at 100, of course. And all you have to do is get a Chameleon Sigil at the end of the first mandatory gate, dupe it, use the 2 chameleon items you can easily get, and wheee, you're immortal. Tale as old as Oblivion, really.

Half of Morrowind's appeal to me is turning it into fantasy The Sims. I love collecting unique artifacts and then making them into cute little displays! Oh, you made Sims of your friends and built them an apartment to live together? Well, where is their AXE SHRINE! The item physics in later entries really screwed up this part of what made me originally get so into Morrowind, non-static items will always randomly fuck up because of the physics engine even if you don't touch them. There really needs to be a "cozy, simulation game" with Morrowind like granular placement. I'm using a mod to allow me to orient items vertically on walls, but even placing things on flat surfaces was good back in the day because of how things stack.

The Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel lands adding so much unique clutter and unique artifacts is turning me into a super clepto that robs houses of every object like the fucking Grinch stealing Christmas. I've only just begun to decorate my lovely stolen Balmora manor and there is still like 85% of the mod landscape still to explore to find more goodies.

Is it possible to move an entire MO2 install to a new computer without any issues? I'm assuming portable instances will be fine, but what about the non-portable instances? Have a bunch of old stuff that's been lost to time, is a pain in the ass to hunt down, or has been taken down due to tantrums. Want my transition to my new rig to be as painless as possible. Only pain I will tolerate is a blood sacrifice to Lisa Su while putting the motherboard in.

I've never done it but if I was to I'd create backups of my mods and my plugin list and then transfer the mod folder over to your new install of MO2 and then load the backups. Do a search on how to do it and make google only show r/skyrimmods for results.

Will probably just do that. Hope my old external HDD still works. Haven't used it since 2020.

To their credit, this is all for free, and this will likely release sooner or around the same time as elder scrolls 6
What will release first: Skywind or any Beyond Skyrim project? Who am I kidding, Beyond Skyrim will spend the next ten years writing quests about tranny Argonians banging their siblings and deleting entire regions because they fucked up the height maps like with Roscrea.

What's the lore behind this?

What's the lore behind this?
When BS announced they were working on Black Marsh the first design document mentioned how all scaley farm tools are naturally trannies and incest is cool in their culture. BS:Roscrea was close to being done in 2023 when they realized that they fucked up the heightmap for the entire world space which meant that navmeshing and quest triggers would be fucked so they had to redo the whole thing. BS:Cyrodil still hasn't even started on the Imperial City and hasn't finished a single province. It's gotten so bad that when BS tried to do an advent calendar during Christmas on r/skyrimmods they were constantly downvoted.

What the actual fuck how the fuck is that consistent with the lore?

Only Trump voting CHUDs care about the lore. Don't you want to be on the right side of history? BS is a horribly mismanaged mod team filled with trannies that spend most of their time rooting out wrong think in their Discord instead of actually working on the mod.

They fucked up beyond reach with cardinal directions. They swapped east and west with high rock. In my opinion the beyond skyrim project seems really messy. I should probably play more through each version, the bruma and high rock but it doesn't bode well if it's a chore for me to get to those mods compared to just replaying the regular content. In time, I will check them out.

Beyond Reach has nothing to do with BS which explains why the writing isn't half bad. And it actually released with the v5.0 update coming soonish. I wouldn't bother with BS: Bruma especially if you use any UI mods or weather mods. There also isn't much to do. If you want a decent new lands mod I'd suggest Midwood Isle. It has a very vanilla feel and is actually kind of fun.
