I've been using the preset "Agent" class in this playthrough, the only offensive skill it has is marksman so I've been trying to avoid conflict wherever possible. It seems like a lot of the quests in Oblivion can be easily sequence skipped.

"An unexpected voyage" in the Imperial City Waterfront, when the bandits come to talk to you, the AI deactivates if you exit and re-enter the room or get to a place the AI can't get to (like a height), so you can avoid fighting the first 2 bandits. If you spam the use key while crouched when loading onto the top deck, you can pickpocket the key from the guy up there and immediately leave after dialogue to avoid combat. Then, something I didn't know, by picking the right dialogue, you can talk the leader of the group into surrendering. Dialogue still implies you killed her crew.

"A brotherhood betrayed" in Bruma, played normally until meeting Vathys in the cave. He walks toward you, but you can deactivate his AI. Then you can pickpocket the three keys from, take the treasure and leave. Dialogue still implies you killed him.

"Caught in the Hunt" gotten from Bravil, the gate takes a few seconds to open and close, you can set it to close, run in and then when it's supposed to shut behind you when you talk to the woman's husband, it actually opens. For some reason the orc can't follow you out of the fortress so it makes the fight at the end pretty easy if you can attack from range.

"Unfriendly Competition" from the Imperial City Markets, played normally until you confront Agarmir in the tomb, if you pickpocket the keys from him and let the dialogue play, you can leave and when you come back in, he's no longer hostile. Not really helpful though since you need to kill him to finish the quest and attacking him in this state counts as assault/murder.

Nice to go back to Skyrim after years. It is still fun. This time I'm a mage. Curious about followers.

I used to use Mijol all the time and had Serena and the priest from the cannibal quest as a fourth. I used that guy in the dlc that is at the bar Taveras...Teverus....recently. He's cool.

I'm looking for new ones. What do you think about Kharjo? I've never used him but he seems funny.

Is Illia still broken? I recall shes extremely bugged. Made her watch my kids last time to avoid this.

All this talk about the farm tool races reminds me that I haven't done any runs with either in a while; been either a elf-hunting Nord or berserker Orc for a while now. Think I'll be remedying that soon enough; hopping back into the series, working backwards from Skyrim.

You guys suggest either the rugs or boots to play as? I think the Khajiit are the funnier race to run given that they're a bunch of stoners, but the Argonians are lot more solid in terms of lore and mechanics. Build-wise, the cat's more versatile overall, but I think the lizard is a LOT easier to make; any suggestions?

Both are on the same level, including with the racial ability being completely useless (hist skin regen literally does nothing) however in skill bonus points the cats mogs the lizards who have no points in any combat skill but is skyrim so it really doesnt matter unless you are using mods. In terms of looks (wich is what truly matters) i prefer the khajits desing more.

Man, i'm still with questions:

I'm tired to playing Atronach. Birthsign is the most broken but i miss the magicka regen. Depending too much of another factors is gay.
What's the other best birthsign gameplay-wise? The Lord? The Thief? I'm using a mod which health applies retroactively without the bonus one, so The Lady and the Warrior isn't priority.

I usually like The Mage and The Lady.

TR_Data races, you have way more options for Khajiit types.
It’s a massive shame that outside of mods like TR there’s no mainline game that includes more than a single type of Khajiit. I do remember Skyrim having a mod that adds some more as well as the beast type legs from Morrowind but it doesn’t play well with so many other mods it’s hard to use.
The only farm tool individual which we must caring is Ahnassi from Morrowind.
Darra in Menaan is pretty cool too.

if it's oblivion you're talking about thief is pretty good for the luck and apprentice is good because it makes you learn the weakness to magic debuff that you can apply to weapons and new spells

Yeah, i'm trying to lean into Apprentice this time.

Mage is fun but I die a lot lol. My destruction is lvl 49 and I have the ring from the excavation mission in solsteim. I read its supposed to help kill a lot of people but idk if it's cause I'm like lvl 25 overall or what. Using Lydia rn. She's fun except she won't take anything you steal and put on the ground......
Gotta cure a disease I got at the shipping company in solitude while tailing the one guy. I know some ingredients help and the potions but of course I go to whiterun expecting one and no dice.

And of course I find out too late if i drop the item and fail the thieving mission in riften I still pass and brand shei keeps his store open.

Haven't started winterhold college yet but it's on the list. Vague memories from years back.

Edit: holy shit Frea doesn't have a level cap? Yooooo I need to grab her in solsteim fast. And do the final mission so Malak stops fucking me over with the dragon souls.

Man, i'm leaning into using Conjuration to bound weapons.
Seems a bit far-fetched comparing to Morrowind and clearly ass to Skyrim.

But, i see Bound Sword is an actual Daedric Claymore which deals more damage than the normal one.
Basically conjuring at each battle with a custom spell is a nice strategy to caster users? I'm going to use Heavy Armor anyways.

I didn't know fatigue affected your damage and that you could boost your damage by lowering your attributes that affect max fatigue and then use something to increase your fatigue. Does this affect bow damage as well?
Looking at a post on the matter, it seems like that would be the case.

The Steed. Immediately starting the game with better speed makes it really good. Plus you can add attributes to other things instead of needing speed as a dump stat for the first few levels.

In that case, The Thief is way better.

But anyways, i started with The Apprendice this time being Imperial (they truly are one of the most hybrid races in the game, at par with Dunmer).
So far, so good. My idea is having Reflect Spell this time and just Elemental Shield using Sigil Stones in clothes. Never bothering with Armorer anymore.
