So I've been playing Skyrim lately and I noticed there a lot of bandits. I'm starting to think that there are more bandits than Friendly Npcs in the game. It is like people in the Elder Scrolls games are slowly regressing into nomadic tribes pillage and raiding each other to survive like the Raiders in Fallout. I haven't passed level 35 with one character in Skyrim but does the level scaling start to equip bandits with full glass and daedric armor like it did in Oblivion?
Fair enough. I will say that living as a Bandit in Skyrim would make you one of the toughest people alive. Running around half naked in freezing temperatures trying to steal stuff in the middle of a civil war while dragons are attacking would be hard. Your home is a cave or old fort that used to be inhabited by trolls or something worse before you killed them all just to have a small corner of the room for yourself. Your food comes from raiding well defended towns or a Giant's campsite. Every piece of magic equipment you find that could help you survive is locked away by the boss even though he isn't going to use it. Then you have to make your living by attacking heavily armored adventurers and hope that you and your friends actually kill them instead of ending up decapitated. Rinse and repeat all the while hoping your cave or fort isn't somehow connected to Falmer tunnels or some kind or Dwarf ruin. Then the next thing you know a wave of vampires has come from nowhere and are prowling around your turf. I think Bandits might be the true heroes of Skyrim if they know how to survive their terrible existence. They might be the best candidates for running Skyrim instead of the Stormcloaks or the Imperials. On the plus side you mysteriously get stronger as the PC does but so does everything else in the world.Skyrim is a cold and inhospitable place where even the people doing legitimate work barely have enough to get by.
It's way different than Cyrodil

I want to play Battlespire but DOSBOX would constantly crash on me when I try to attack enemies or loat itemsLast night, I managed to play Battlespire on DosBox so I may as well ask: Anyone here played Battlespire? Only thing I can say is that hand-to-hand could be your friend though I only say that due to spending some time beating a few Scamps and a Dremora with my fist.
I don't know how to fix that for you but I did learn how to install it from this:I want to play Battlespire but DOSBOX would constantly crash on me when I try to attack enemies or loat items
RIP Ralph Cosham. The guy who voiced the male Bretons in Oblivion died last month. He was 78![]()
I could be wrong (due to finding this tl;dr) but does this tumblrite even know that Kirkbride did work on the series? To quote a guy from the TES wiki.
Also does the tumblrite know of C0DA?Ikabite
Kirkbride was one of the major contributors to The Elder Scrolls franchise, without him TES would likely remain the generic fantasy setting it was in Arena and Daggerfall. For this very reason he has gained the respect of so many fans.
There are so many rumors about him and Bethesda. Did he really leave on good terms, was he kicked out for drug abuse, what was the contract work he did, was Skyrim's lore inspired by his writings, is he and Todd planing a reboot, did Bethesda writers really aprove C0DA? It's all irrelevant, what we can clearly observe is that there are no disputes among Kirkbride and Bethesda. Both parties are frienly to each other, it's only the fans that are having a war.
A fan movement was started with the release of C0DA - End to the Canon Wars. We all LOVE the franchise, why are WE fighting over it? There are no rights or wrongs, gaps can be filled in various ways, it's all up to your own interpretation. Now, don't misunderstand me, opinions can and should still be shared, but in a non-hostile way. We should all lose the MEMORY of the DEAD LANGUAGE "canon".
There are different stories, that you may or may not connect (linearly) - stories of Bethesda, stories of Zenimax, stories of Kirkbride, stories of Keyes. You may only enjoy some of them, or, perhaps, just one, but you have no right to take away other's JOY.
In my own experience - I was once very sceptic towards the writings of Kirkbride, but I've realized, that it was out of jelousy, out of not-knowing, out of fear to change. And if we're being all law-abiding - it's Zenimax who is owner of the IP. Then why are we considering TESO lorebreaking?
Sequel to the universe - C0DA.
