like, all it takes is using a different browser. and its not even some hard to use linux only hacker software, tor browser itself is basically just firefox with a different paintjob. and i think some other browsers like opera and brave can access onion sites too.

I've never fucked with tor stuff before but getting the browser installed and getting back on here was a couple of minutes work. It was slow as fuck yesterday but it seems to be fairly similar to regular firefox today.

I'll only ever us it for KF i'd imagine but hopefully it won't become a barrier for entry that stops the bulk of people from migrating over to it. "Wrong" opinions having to be hidden on the darkweb is pretty fucking wild if i'm being honest.

a) normies don't know about tor-browser and are sceptical of the network
b) tor addresses don't really show up on search engines

It ultimately doesn't stop the site but it does throttle traffic. There's less users online now and the site can't grow as easily. Clearnet is preferable.
