This is going to be gay (literally and figuratively), but my partner and I love this site and the podcast. Even though I sometimes disagree with what you have to say about gay people, I still respect and admire you for keeping the site going despite all the shit you have to deal with. Even though most of what you say about gay people is unfortunately and embarrassingly true...

Anyway, focus on yourself, your family, take a break, take an extended break, do whatever you need to do. You don't owe us anything.

As an aside, having never used Tor before, it's extremely easy to use. As in, I installed Brave on my laptop and installed Tor Browser on my phone, copied and pasted the link, and that's it. The load time is initially slow but after that it's fine. Hopefully this one stays up a little longer.

Finally, I have an archive on Odysee of the Mad at the Internet podcast. I'm trying to keep it as up-to-date as I can.

Long time Lurker, first time poster. Seeing how this may actually be the end, didn't want to just be an eternal lurker and also wanted to at least leave a small trace that I'm not another sleeper account ready to fuck the community over.

I just wanted to give a huge thanks to Josh and I'm so sorry that wanting to see retards act like retards and gossip about it has suddenly made him public enemy number one. I think nobody expected that once the retards started wearing dresses it would suddenly make it serious business, or more realistically, become the final scapegoat.

For the most part I'm one of those members that are more interested in the political discourse that the Farms allows, and even though I know Null fucking hates what comes with us, I also greatly appreciate that he has allowed us to still shit up his garden. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy the lolcow side of things nor the posters antics, I do like to check out the highlights of the week, have gotten to love mocking the gunt and still have some old favorites that I like to check on like Jim Sterling (put all the lipstick you want on, you are still a pig, and a male one at that).

I'm starting to ramble, I mostly don't post because on one hand I'm a coward, on the other, because I don't want to get used to the actual freedom of being unshackled because it's pretty much forbidden in the rest of the world at this rate. Thanks for giving me a little window to laugh with/at people being edgy assholes in the internet. I hope this isn't the end of it all and well, maybe the true lols were the friends we made along the way.

It ultimately doesn't stop the site but it does throttle traffic. There's less users online now and the site can't grow as easily. Clearnet is preferable.

But I do wonder, if only being on TOR would be ideal to keep heat off the site. if its not in searches, the mob thinks the site is gone completely, or are unwilling to touch that scary different browser or whatever that might be an advantage.

I mean I never messed with tor before but I use Brave and never even knew you can just pop open a tor browser in it easy as bringing up any other website. As long as there's people that can point curious newcomers over here, I dunno its functional right?

Do us all a favour and log off. You are wasting bandwidth. Even if the site has to be a peer to peer thing for a while till the pendulum swings then so be it. Better that than just lie down and let the groomers win. Before you log off thought consider this quote from a woman who had literal mobs calling for her blood.

Godsneed, Josh, I genuinely hope that your problems get resolved soon. Just so you know, your dedication and hard work has been a personal inspiration for me, and many people are still rooting for you. The harder those Dilator Dictators grip at the throat of free speech, the more will people resent them. I don't know what happens next, but I hope that people in the future will see and learn what happens when you give power to the ""oppressed"".

God bless you Josh thank you for everything you've done for us if Kiwifarms ever dies permanently I will be forced to return to my old hobby of exposing myself to tired businessmen on the subway and many will suffer for this God bless you for sparing those poor men's eyes for at least a short while

if you rent a server and use it to host a tor hidden service, the company you're renting the server from has no idea what you're actually hosting, and the people connecting to the hidden service over tor never see its ip or anything else that could help identify the servers owner and location.

this obviously doesn't immediately work with the hosting situation josh currently has, because that is already known to the public, but setting up a new hosting solution with anonymity in mind is definitely feasible. it's how blatantly criminal sites like silk road and other drug pushers manage to stay online for so long without getting caught. even massive international criminal investigations against these sites only succeed in finding them when the owner makes dumb opsec mistakes. the silk road guy got caught because he advertised the site on clearnet with some account related to his IRL identity.
