Bummer. Hope KF finds a way back to the clearnet, maybe it is not meant to be but it has been a noble effort against bad odds anyways, its already impressive it lasted this much. I think having to use Tor would hurt the site a lot if it remains the only way to access tbh but i guess is something.

Brave was blocking the access to the Kiwi address for a bit. It solved when I downloaded the tor client or maybe it was just a coincidence but, when trying to access via Brave, it was giving me a client denial message.

To be completely and entirely serious for once- Josh, I can't thank you enough for everything you've done, especially in recent times. I know it's been said a lot, but I'm genuinely wishing for the best for you, your family, and the farms. You've been through and continue to go through hell for us and I don't think words exist to express my gratitude for that.
To the community- I've only been here for about three years, but I've really come to like the farms and I'm glad to be here no matter what. The last several months especially have been a hell of a ride, but one I'm grateful to have been dragged along on, even if just from the sidelines. Apart from KF I use one other small forum which I thought had a vaguely intelligent and inquisitive userbase. A thread went up about the Cloudfare ban/Keffals and the entire thread immediately sided with the post by Matthew Prince without doing any further investigation or digging. I was dismayed and depressed to witness how easily people are influenced and have their minds made up for them. Totally blindsided and unprepared to think for themselves.

Then I noticed another thread had gone up about one of the mods trooning out. It's like a fucking cancer of the mind, I truly loathe it.

I don't think Tor is the right path going forward but if it's the only option we have then I would say it's better to stick with it than it is to let the farms die.

It should be possible to setup a server in China facing outwards only that would block the mainland + ROC (Taiwan), but you would need to have the acquiescence of the Cyberspace Administration of China (Think Roskomnadzor on steroids). However, our presence there would likely be tolerated only in so far as long as there is not a rapprochement in US-China relationships and contingent on us not talking about China and their ruling party.

DDOS protection is the problem and it's why the troons targeted it. There is no third option, like Null says, at least not an obvious one. Even Tor gets DDOSed. I don't know if there is any immediate fix to that problem but a big part of me feels like there has to be something. Maybe I'm just coping though, who knows.

The only "solution" for that would not be legal, don't do it because the government will rape your ass harder than the Branch Davidians. Unfortunately, Kiwifarms is visible in the light, and most of the attackers are hidden in the dark aside from figurehead like Keffals. We do not know who or where they are, but they know where this site is.
