The Expendables 4 - Old men and a middle aged woman will surely save the action movie genre

All I remember about 3 is really liking Antonio Banderas in it.
He was the best thing out of any of the movies, But since that movie, his career is looking good again, lots of bigger budget movies and got an Oscar nom for Pain and Glory back in 2019 and won the best actor award at the Cannes Film Festival. So really doubt he will be back, outside a cameo.

Seeing Arnold and Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris killing dudes on screen at the same time, then cut to Van Damme kicking Stallone in the face, that's fun shit.
This cast doesn't impress me so far.
Dolph is great but 50 Cent? I guess he was famous for getting shot 9 times so they'll do something with him getting shot a lot and surviving.
I would make a running joke where he gets shot in every scene and he never dies.
Megan Fox is meh, I saw that she's trying to be an action star now so I guess she wants to do more of it, whatever, she will not sell tickets for this.

The main reason why people watch this franchise is seeing old ex-action stars kick ass one more time.
Here are some ideas for cameos:
- Danny Glover
- Steven Seagal
- Clint Eastwood (while he's still alive)
- Cynthia Rothrock
- Nicolas Cage
- Linda Hamilton
- Liam Neeson
- Kurt Russell
- Louis Gossett Jr
- Chow Yun Fat
Get each of them for a single 5 minute scene, have them punch people, shoot guns and say one liners.
Do that and you'll have a hit.

Been a while since the last one, wasn't it like 2014?

I wonder if Megan Fox is going to finally do some nudity before she gets too old?

Tbf, I really liked the first two Expendables films. But then Stallone is so fucking old now. It's getting difficult to imagine him blowing shit up.

One thing I absolutely fucking abhor is the LGBTQ crowd repurposing Hollywood for their own agenda. The Ghostbusters reboot was a shining indictment of that.
Let that shit go for your own good. [MAJOR FRANCHISE] is just as replaceable for you as you are to them.

I love the first two movies, hell, I even backed the comic book. I'm in, as long as its R-rated... though I wonder why they didn't bring back Terry Crews or Wesley Snipes.

>Daisy Ridley
>Action Star

:story:

Stallone should call Gina Carano just to spread some salt around

I actually love that idea.

Might as well to add Richard Roundtree and Fred Williamson (while he's still alive).

Fire everyone except jackie chan then hire on chris tucker and just film rush hour 4

the frist one was a novel idea for its time, the sequel really went balls to the wall and really felt like an 80s action movie high school reunion...the 3rd......well it lost a lot not helped by its PG-13 rating but from what ive heard, that was more the exectives at lonsgate being dumbasses and we di eventually get an unrated cut of 3 but the expendables really should have stopped then and there. All good things must come to an end and it's called rule of 3 for a reason.

Lemmie guess... Ah-nold is the secret villain, and the whole "screw your freedom" bullshit was actually viral marketing.

50 Cent was in those Escape Plan movies with Stallone, guess he must have enjoyed working with him.

If they do get Seagal, should bet him doing fat people shit, like driving a fat people scooter or eating a whole cake, while everyone else is doing the action.

But it's all about budget. Liam Nesson and Kurt Russel, won't be cheap, so they got to pick and chooses who they can afford within their budget, even cameos will eat up the budget fast.

The 3rd one had a budget of $100 million, made just over $200 million, willing to be the budget of this one will be lower.
