Diseased The Fidget Spinner Community - "It's Not A Trend, It's A Way Of Life."

I actually ordered one on Amazon yesterday for the meme, it was about 5 dollars so I'm not super sad about the loss there. Does that mean this thread is infected?

It does, in fact, spin, as you can clearly see. I can think of worse ways to spend 5 dollars but I still wouldn't really recommend these. It actually really hurts tying to get it spinning at a good speed because you have to slap your hand against the thick metal.

Oh come on people, no need to go hyper critic about this new fad and the lads that enjoy it. I mean, it's not like they are actually rеtаrdеd or something.

Girl, 10, needs surgery to remove 'dangerous' fidget spinner part after it gets stuck in her throat 'when she swallows it while trying to clean it'

They actually are, my bad, carry on.
this is why you don't leave your tard baby alone with shit that spins around. it's gonna end up in their mouth one way or another.
damnit, we need a fatality for this dumb fad to end. i've heard of kids breaking their teeth with spinners, this one tried to spin it in her esophagus, now i want to see a report of someone getting it stuck in their ass.

I can understand wanting to have one... I kinda want one but they are not worth having an online community about. I mean if they were making these things like Rolex or some super rare metals I could maby see having a forum but this right now....straight up faggotry.

Another case of people forming an identity around some mundane tripe that everyone else has because they have fuck all else going on. Got a fidget ring to help with stuff and upon saying it like ten people emerged to sperg about fucking little spinny tops, not surprised theres an entire subsect of these bungholes.

The funniest thing is to bring up the whole autism thing to anyone interested in spinners. They start getting really heated and soon enough sperg out like the austist they are. The fact that people have to get that angry defending a cheaply made fad toy is pathetic.

The reason these got popular with kids makes sense. Kids got to play with them IN CLASS, and other kids saw that and said "wtf I want to play with something too", so they go home and ask for them. Soon you have an entire class of kids with annoying ass fidget toys, because tapping a pencil or foot is too complicated or some shit. Places are charging $20+ and that's just for the kids version.

It's a fact that if you're an adult walking around with a fidget spinner, you look like a mentally handicapped person. If you're okay with that, then do you, but don't get mad when you're mistaken for special needs.
Spinners are the newest "look at me I'm autistic" fad for people trying to be special. They're intended for use only if you have the disability required, but fuck that, everyone wants them

Can you put that on your anus?
yea that's why it has such a nice patina

This lady "invented" something similar a long time ago and now is try to cash in on the fad:

This guy is responsible for the modern versions (the one I have is one of his, called the Torqbar):

Also there is a closed group on Facebook called Spin Space that was around before these reddit pages, worth checking out. Plenty of drama.

I haven't seen these in person yet. I didn't even know about it till last week when someone tweeted at Treyarch suggesting they make a spinner toy shaped like their logo. Treyarch bluntly said no. I had no idea what spinners were, all I thought was "what the hell is this Beyblade shit?"
