Diseased The Fidget Spinner Community - "It's Not A Trend, It's A Way Of Life."

I was at the Mall with my cousins and we suddenly came across a Fidget spinner kiosk... the autistic screeching that came from that Kiosk. There were all these kids surrounding the kiosk trying to beg their parents to buy them the "Cool LED one" or the "This one has your favorite team logo on it". My aunt gave one of my cousin's $10 for a video game but instead he got a fidget spinner...

Now they're at Hot Topic. Cue tumblr getting triggered.

If I had never heard of these things before I would probably just assume they're some kind of weird bike wrench.

Fidget spinners are being mass produced at factories right now in China at such a fast rate, that I have gotten multiple emails from Chinese distributors about selling them. It's a good fad market to get into, since the cost of a plastic fidget spinner to a basic seller (not talking economy of scale like walmart can get) is $ .88 . The metal-ones can vary from 5 dollars to about 18 dollars wholesale; these adult idiots are literally paying triple+ to get shit mass produced in China with no extensive R&D and that almost any individual can access. Fidget Spinners are just the next fad that business people are hyping to children because the profit margins are huge.

I asked this in chat. Do they have any badass ones with blades and shit? Shuriken fidget spinners?
There are many that look the part, but having an actual blade on one would obviously be a bad idea.

BladeHQ showed this off on April fool's day:

There's also this, which is real:

Edit:
This following video shows some of the end process for the Torqbar (common high end spinner) - your gas station/Amazon spinners are not made to these standards obviously

Good thread. The only reason I knew about these is autistic lolcows sperging over them and in at least one case, complaining that normies are ruining them (because they're getting banned in places like schools since everyone is fucking doing it and no one is paying attention to anything else).

I mean I don't care if someone buys one, hell, even a crazy expensive one (if you're rich it doesn't really matter much I guess). But it's the way it has to become part of people's identity. Can't these people just play with something without pretending it's 'therapy' and all about them?

Bitch you not my mommy

Can a spinner even be classified as a weapon if they start being produced? How many people do you think would buy one to be edgy?

I feel like these things are a just another passing fad, the hype around won't last more than a month or two before fizzling out.
Yeah, if it was the beginning of a school year they might last for a bit, but the end? Kids are going to be distracted with their actual toys they can get to once they're out of school.

Now that I think about it I actually have seen someone with a mental disability with a fidget spinner.

Though he was just holding it, not even spinning. So maybe it was more for comfort as opposed to burning off excess energy?

God, even the people who need it can't even use it for it's intended purpose.

Buy a spinner ring. Doesnt run out of battery and actually requires you to move to spin it, so distracts you/burns off anxious energy. You can get em engraved or themed, theres disney and star trek/wars on amazon. $20 got me a nice titanium (?) one that looks like the wolves on it are running when you spin. There are of course more complicated ones, but all of them have the upside of not begging to be used as weapons.

I've got a fidget cube. I'm trying to stop biting my nails and so far it's been helping. It is very cheaply made but it was like two bucks so I'm not really bothered.

Those stupid spinners have been banned from several elementary schools in my hometown. A little kid brought one with her when her mom came to my workplace the other day and was showing it off to anyone who would look.

So I'm glad that something supposedly meant as a therapeutic device for speds is now being used to entertain little chubsters and let people make new YouTube channels.
