Diseased The Fidget Spinner Community - "It's Not A Trend, It's A Way Of Life."

I've seen plastic ones going for over £200.

A decent entry level 3D printer is £100 or so, 8 Reds bearings (which are the ones an enthusiast skater would buy) are £20, so even the most roundabout ridiculous way of doing it is cheaper than some of this shit, and that's ignoring the more obvious option of just visiting the nearest store where they're probably £3.

I'm going to try and make one from a skateboard. Some jackoff left a wrecked one behind my apartment building and the bearings look alright.

It's only a matter of time now.

Before :autism: became the hot new thing, shit like this was just known as desk toys. Quiet stuff you fiddled with so you didn't faceplant from boredom when doing a conference call. It didn't make noise like clicking a pen, or spinning a coin might, so you could hide the fact you weren't paying attention a bit better.

Now that there's the whole "yay acting :autism: as fuck in public is embracing yourself!" things that have always existed, but were generally kept out of sight/out of mind are now paraded about as bragging rights of your disfunction.

This is beyond terminal levels of autism. This is beyond terminal levels of exceptionalism. We need to make a new word for this. There is no word in any language that adequately describes what this is.

its stage 4 terminal autism... please have a moment of silence. these people are so autistic, that it results in death. its extremely contagious. this kind of autist is the opposite of CWC. they have so much money they wipe their dribbling assholes with it. 5 dollar fidget spinners aren't enough for them and they are craving more. if you or a loved one has developed stage 4 autism, please... give up.

Where the fuck did this trend come from? It seems to have exploded out of nothing? I can understand children playing with these, because children are dumb and will play with anything. I can even understand the cubes because they do seem like a mindless task you can do without thinking about it and can pick up and put down easily. These are just shitty toys which actively distracts you and other around you, isn't that the opposite of the point?

I've spun a pencil or a pen between my fingers to kill time while waiting for something like a phone call or an appointment, but that's something anyone can do, for free.

Why anyone would blow money on something one can easily do with any other common household object of a similar size for free is just absurd.

I think it for the most part it was originally driven by people with 3d printers to design and print something out they could not only share but have competitions. Hence why ball bearings with little friction is often talked about and why ceramic ones are talked about being the best.

Personally, all this time designing these can be put to better use designing to PC fans. They're doing the same thing anyways.

The main thing I know about these is that they are being banned in primary schools around here because the weans pay little enough attention as it is. The usual 'school craze' in these parts is either weapons or drugs so this is a considerable improvement.

But show me a nice Titanium spinner for
under $20. You do understand how the different densities of metals affect the spin, right? And how
Titanium is denser than other cheaper metals, including plastic, leading to a much smoother and
longer spin, outside of the bearings hardware? I mean have you compared the feel of a good Ti
spinner vs. a sub $20 one?

Chris should hire you to advertise his toys for him. Overpriced useless toys are something he specializes in, and certainly something you seem to know a lot about.

I can't stand the moms on Facebook who try to defend these things claiming that they've helped their special :autism: snowflakes in school, but now that everybody has them their special snowflake can't bring theirs to school.

So they should allow their tard kids to have them in sped classes, which is where they need to go back to.
