Is it possible that they might include a 'Classic Mode' for those who prefer the original turn-based gameplay?

I'm almost positive the only reason they're making FFVII into a multi-part game is to charge more money in a less blatant fashion than if they released the whole game with a price jack or added a bunch of day-one DLC like Bioware or Bamco.
We're not talking about a series like X-Com where TBC is essential to the formula. Final Fantasy, and Square in general, has always been about pushing for greater speed and flashier combat. It failed miserably in XIII because in the name of speed they automated actions to the point of completely eviscerating the strategic components. The only way to keep advancing the speed and flashiness while still making an actual game is by switching to RTC.

Good. I want to be able to play one of my favorite game series' on my playing "console" of choice without waiting for four years after release. Console wars and exclusives are retarded.

For the best. XIII was...disappointing and XV's been in development for so long that there's no possible way it can be worth buying it before the reviews are out and the internet's had a go at it.

Square decided to give a damn about tactics and added Ramza Beoulve to Dissidia Arcade, at this point having Marche and Luso is just a matter of time

Recently square said that they are reviving some old IPs, people is in overwatch mode because that means IPs like Chrono trigger/cross could come back, maybe in a good day we will have bushido blade
