Not sure what your tone is here but if I had to guess, with the SpyxFamily avi it’s a compliment. Since both have a busty asian with red eyes getting bleached by a blonde man. And both have attracted the psychosexual energy of deeply resentful women of color, though in Yor’s case there’s no far more important white girl to foist it all upon.

I just got the pixel remaster of FFVI. I've beaten every single player game in the series from 4-15 except 6. I don't know why I've never been able to sit down and just play through the end no matter how many times I tried. The furthest I ever got was right before the final dungeon. I was following a guide I printed off of gamefaqs and wanted to do all the side stuff first, but then I started playing WoW(towards the end of Burning Crusade) and gave up any console gaming for a few years and sold my PS2. I have a modded Wii with pretty much every game made before N64/PS1 era and tried playing the SNES version a few times but I always get bored after a couple hours and quit. Hopefully my trophy autism will carry me through to finally beating the supposed "best game of the series", then maybe I'll buy the rest of the remasters to check out the first 3 games I never played.
 
Is there a Final Fantasy CWLS I can join? Or any recommendations for a non-pozzed community for FF14?

Grouping a bunch of Kiwi user accounts into a single CWLS or FC where they can be easily recorded and reported by the sort of perpetually online trannies that populate the game has always been a bad idea.


I play informally with maybe four or five kiwis on occasion, but it's exclusively ones I "trust" enough to be genuine autist shitlords like me and never are all of those players in the same party with me.



If you don't think some of the people who really really hate this site online wouldn't do something petty like put effort into trying to get FFXIV accounts banned, then you haven't been here long enough.
 
I was gonna try FF14 because I've heard over and over that the stories of the major expansions are absolutely God-tier FF writing and worth playing even if you just go through FF14 like it's a single player game. But when I was gearing up for it, I saw a lot of stuff indicating that the translation for most of the FF14 story content is horrendously bastardized and I've never seen any fan translation or mod to fix that. Do you guys know of anything like that? I'd mostly just given up on ever playing 14.

I recall seeing some Machine Translation plugin for Dalamud (a ToS-violating-but-everyone-still-uses-it plugin system that comes with XIVLauncher, a custom launcher) but don't know if it translates MSQ text, and even then you'd need to play the entire game in Japanese, including menus.
A proper fan translation is possible in theory, as there is a Russian one out there, but seemingly no one has attempted it at all.

She doesn’t do that originally but Rebirth kind of does make her an enabler at parts. These remakes have been pretty comical in how little she does while still managing to be a fan favorite. Kind of coasting on the boobs and the intrigue Cloud’s backstory.

Since 13 was my first one I will forever have a soft spot for Lightning.
Her relationship with Hope is super wholesome and for a female final fantasy character her outfit is pretty understated and practical, which makes sense given her military background (except the cape).
And yeah the sequels do stupid shit with her but LA LA LA I can't hear you!

I feel like her and Beatrix would get along.

Tifa has always been the same way about clouds weirdness, but gaslighting isn’t the word id use. If a childhood friend who is the only living survivor from your hometown and a love interest shows back up I don’t think it’s far fetched to assume you’d ignore all the inconsistencies just to have a little bit of comfort from them sticking around.

That Steiner character arc is one of my favorites.

I’m not referring to that, as that was done in Remake and the OG, nor do I think it’s intentional. It’s more like the writing will have her validate Cloud’s versions of events by going from questioning if he was there in Kalm to wanting to move past the actual crisis he had in Gongaga.

This doesn’t fix the original problem of having her do almost nothing for the plot until disc 2 but it theoretically draws more attention to it. And for my money they didn’t have to “fix” the original issue at all.

Steiner was always a favorite of mine for sure. I enjoyed seeing "Otis" in the latest FFXIV expansion basically just be a Steiner cameo. (Though at that point I was so starved for anything not-shit in Dawntrail that maybe my brain was just playing tricks on me)
