First delevel trap is in Zeklaus. Chemist is good for leveling down early. You shouldn't really need to minmax for those challenges though, they don't look too hard.
 
I never did a challenge run for Tactics. But I did do a "I'm gonna break game balance over my knee for pissing me off 10 years ago" run. And I went Pisces.

Didn’t they do that at the end of 7remake? It’s implied at least the story is going off the rails for 7R2. Which I am legit excited for.

I love the old one, but I want to see what they are going to do with this. I have a feeling it’s going to be really fun. Salt mining will likely be profitable too!

I thought about writing a long effortpost about FF4 Pixel vs. other versions but just couldn't muster up the piss to do so. Still went and took a comparison screenshot from FF4 Complete on PSP and made this, though:

It's not just worse, it's clown world butt-ugly.

I didn’t catch this but I love the old story too. It just won’t work with indulgences cramming their way inside to justify the $60 price tag.

The pixel remasters are for people that wanted something that looked closer to the originals. I remember being a big fan of the FF1 remake back in the day, but the PSP games just look like generic RPG Maker stuff to me now. The pixel remasters aren't an exact 1 to 1 conversion but I think they do a great job at getting the look and feel right, especially with FF1 and FF3 which look exactly like I imagine they would if they were SNES games. Plus the soundtracks are infinitely better than any other time they've remade them. The music in the 3D version of FF4 was dogshit.

The actual map in the images posted looks pretty good, That Big Whale sprite is horrendous though, it is some weird ass art direction.
