At least it didn't have FF8's problem with the longest summoning animations known to man.

I relied on GFs a lot when I didn't know how to break the game immediately and that was...painful. Eden's summoning animation is literally 70 seconds long.

Then you get to FFX when they realized a lot of their mistakes and the combat system in that game is suitably fast-paced.

Just to say, you know it's actually possible to craft weapons that are superior to or as good as the supposed ultimate in-game weapons for the main characters right?

How? If you just have Cloud, Tifa, and Barret with their limits on or about to go off and their ultimate weapons, you can pretty much kill anything in the game except Ruby and Emerald Weapon.

It may have been because, again, I was using cheats to access the Limit Breaks (I was mainly in it for the story and the like), but I found myself mainly using Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie. They pretty much got me all the way through the game.

Though I must say, even with the cheats, the Emerald and Ruby Weapons were some of the most difficult bosses I've ever experienced. Thank goodness for the materia that let me summon Knights Of The Round indefinitely

I mean, yeah. The game is faster to facilitate molesting children.

Yuffie is your replacement for Aerith in terms of healing limit breaker (which lets you save space not having to have everyone carry healing materia). Vincent is super strong and works great as a tank character.

Plus, his sidequests answers some of the bigger of lore questions that don't get resolved if you don't find him.

Vincent also has a fucking gun. Takes balls to bring a gun to a super-soldier melee fight like your typical FF game is.

As though the 'penalty' for GF spamming is the long animation and tedious button mashing. That, and enemies killed by GFs will not increase your SeeD ranking.

10/10 would spam and waste hours of my life again.

The Final Fantasy 9 HD edition has a slight problem with its Fast Forward system. It FF everything but the timer, which works out great for the Chocobo game, once you get used to it, but doesn't work on thing like the Hunt. So if you wanted Zidane to win you can't use FF since The Hunt event is tied to the timer. I cleared all the areas out but since i did it early Freya won by a lot since every X amount of seconds her score would go up to the point even the Pig wouldn't get me enough points. Curious if this issue is the same on the FF 8 remake...

Does it speed up the game timer? If no, that would make it really easy to get Excalibur II. If yes... I guess it would still aid in making it easier to get Excalibur II since you wouldn't have to wait as long to loop the timer back around to zero.

I think it makes the game timer stay the same. Like the Chocobo game the timer still goes in Real Time while the game itself is fast forward, even cutscenes are FF. So it should make it easier to get Excalibur II.
