Continued playing Strangers after a break, tried lowering the difficulty from hard after the third boss ripped me a new asshole (though more due to bad design, his first phase is full of unlockable attack spam while he jumps around the field), but now the game feels too easy.

This. If you bypass the majority of the sidequests then it's short and easy af. Otherwise it's quite a grind, and you need the patience of a saint if you want the 100% ending in particular (which literally only adds a bonus cutscene after the credits) because that requires winning fucking Sphere Break. It's hard to say which I hate more, that "lol suddenly math" excuse for a minigame or blitzball.

It’s objectively not easy to 100% since you can skip dialogue and get no credit. That alone makes it irritating enough and is well beyond what gamers normally consider for 100%ing

10-2 has some of the strictest requirements for 100% that I've run into. Escort the Hypello caravan from the wrong side of the road and lose 1 sack of cargo. That tiny blunder haunts you for the rest of the game and cheats you out of a Minerva Plate and Mascot.

Screwing your players out of 100% completion because they didn't know they were supposed to not click anything in a decision box is some hilariously stupid design. What a shitshow of a game.

I tried to 100% FFX-2 but couldn't get through chapter 4, the one where you are just talking to people over a videocamera sphere link or something. Having people blah blah blah at you in real time with no way to fast forward through it, while having to make every single choice 100% correct, and even having to move the camera to point at specific things at certain time, was just too much. I put it down and never picked it back up. I hate hate HATE having to listen speech in real-time instead of reading, it is so SLOW.
