The First Descendant - If Destiny 2 and Warframe had a child it would probably look like this

The multiple Layers of RNG for Progression are starting to tire me.
Also this Minigame to open the Vaults always fails for me have to figure out what im doing wrong or if its just rigged?
Other then that Gameplay is solid.
Also what bothers me is that you have to pay to customize youre Character so alot of Players are running around with the same Look.

Alright. So the gameplay seems solid.

How is the plot?
One of the first antagonists, a fearsome giant alien man-thing is called Greg. The special forces are called "Colon Special Forces".

Uh, but the women are hot.

You'll probably want to build Enzo before doing those as his passive makes them easier and nets you a lot more loot. The minigame shows an icon in the center whether you're supposed to right-click or left-click.

There is a rare glitch where the cursor would be placed over the "exit" prompt, but that's very rare. AMD framegen can also break the minigame and make it speed up.

And its fucking great! I killed the generically enhanced Gregg clone with my blinged out Sonic Co-op weapon. Can't wait until they release Ultimate Kyle with a suspicious close looking Monster Energy drink logo across his armor.

Ha ha Summer outfits AND a Brazilian girl with a dump truck ass in the latest patch? Enjoy the revenue bump while making the few remaining western game journalists seeth Nexon.

I just find the game enjoyable. The field bosses almost all just being shoot the metallic testacles annoys me still. But the gunplay is solid. The mod system a bit more annoying than Warframe but still pretty good and the character designs pretty decent. I do hate how half the time a sharen infiltration is the best way to farm anything though.

So far my fav descendant has been Enzo and my fav guns are Afterglow Sword, Thunder cage, and Naestra's Devotion (since I might as well say 1 for each slot).

I've really been enjoying it too. Certain aspects can turn into a really enjoyable zone out games while I'm in the middle of a boring ass meeting. Kind of looking forward to the new update since it has a focus on single player mission.

My only issue is that I have such big hesitation on upgrading my character with Energy Activators since I understand Ultimate are generally better then regular characters (and grinding out Ultimate's just leads to madness). Gotta really figure out a way to be able to farm some of the harder colossus instead of just with luck with randoms.

The mod system sucks because mods just cost too much energy in general, so you have to re-level your weapons so many times.

Enzo is just fantastic once you get his Transcendant mod that gives you +29% BASE crit chance. I like to combine him with an Enduring Legacy crit build to absolutely rip bosses to shreds. He's one of the few non-ults I've put an energy activator into. He's probably the go-to descendant if you enjoy gunplay over ability AoE spam (i.e. braindead bunny).

I've only thrown my activators on the non-ult descendants I know are not gonna have an ultimate for quite some time AND if I really enjoy them. It takes a long time to get a descendant up and running for endgame anyways, so I've mostly been working on getting the ults build-ready while also leveling some guns. I don't feel like I need to rush the game anyways.

Energy activators are kinda the reason I haven't bothered getting Ult Gley yet. All her parts are 6%, so you can't even get the energy activators from her amorphs. That's what kept me motivated to grind the others as there was usually an energy activator somewhere in the pool of possible loot.

When I was active I could grind out 1 or 2 per day. The real issue for me is the costs. About 25 dollars for one and 6 dollars for a catalyst. However catalysts do have the advantage of only taking 8 hours to craft which gives them an edge over warframe's 23 even though they are a much more friendly 80 ish cents per and of course the fact you don't need every slot polarized in warframe to do a full build.

@Boiled Pizza Ha, yeah, I feel you on that (grinding out Energy Activators). I was going for a Ult Valby and ended up getting two Activators from amorph 073-AA (at a 6% chance) compared to her Spiral Catalyst (at 20%).

I don't mind the chances so much I just hate having to do the colossus for some of these. Its always a crap shoot if it is gonna work out. Oh, what is your Enzo build? I just got him and while I was able to get the Focus Fire Transcendent module I should try for his other Transcendent mods.

Yeah, some of the Colossii are pretty annoying, especially the ones that require a team. Molten Fortress was a constant pain because it was so full of random bunnies who are just running through all the content while being carried. Frost Walker I just cheese with 4x Lepic, so that's a cakewalk.

Haven't really got a focused build yet, I've just thrown like 2-3 catalysts on him and beyond the Firearm ATK mod I haven't really done anything special with him. Mostly just DEF, duration and cooldown so I can spam his 1 for crit bonus.

Whoooooooooooooooo boy alot of good and bad happening in the latest patch and start of Season 1:

Good:
- Ton of UI updates and improvements. Makes everything why clearer, modules from missions are easier to understand if they are for Descendants/what type of weapon
- Really good improvements on finding Encrypted Vaults (visual indicators now)
- Hard missions are more "Kill a bunch of shit" instead of waiting around on pads.
- Some nice improvements to lesser used Descendants.

Bad:
- God damn get ready to grind out and improve you Descendants just to have a chance of surviving the new Invasion's mission. I really hope the Devs tone the respawn rate down a little bit cause the boss with its little puzzle is just balls to the wall hard with all the shit that is flying/shooting you. Since every mission is solo can't expect a pimped out Bunny to help carry you through it. Probably need to grind out Ironheart Particles (Inversion Reinforcement EXP) to level up your Inversion Reinforcer cause its rough at just level 1.

Yeah, I did the first new mission and heard that the invasions are solo, then I looked up the atrocious drop rate for Hailey's materials and just Alt+F4'd. I have people I play with, so miss me with that solo garbage. Besides, the mission mechanics are just obnoxious as hell and yet more garbage designed after Bunny. I'm not coming back until they fix this shit.

I do have to say its pretty impressive a Live Service game actually listened to the community, provide feedback, and set goals (with actual deadlines) on how to improve the user experience just under 24 hours.

Greetings, Descendants. This is the Director of The First Descendant, Minseok Joo. First, I would like to apologize for everyone who had inconvenience since Season 1 Update. Everyone’s support is incredibly appreciated, and our Dev Team is currently doing our greatest effort to resolve the current issue. Throughout this Dev Note, we would like to share some countermeasures regarding the Invasion Dungeon and Hailey’s farming difficulty issue.

Summary
ㆍModification in Invasion Dungeon and Inversion Reinforcement : Reduce difficulty of puzzle mechanics, increase the number of spawned monsters , buff Inversion Reinforcement and delete penalty. All contents will be updated in next week’s 1.1.1 Update.
ㆍImproved Hailey Farming Process : Hailey’s Equipment Material drop rate will be increased in this week’s 1.1.0b hotfix.
ㆍImproved Development Process : FGT and prior feedback in consideration
ㆍImprove Community Communication : We will fully listen and reflect everyone’s opinion and will try our best to make better improvements.

For Invasion Dungeons, to provide faster and better experience, we will lower the difficulty of the puzzle mechanics and will modify the number of spawned monsters. For Order of Truth, to make it easier to remember, the pattern will be simplified and Arche pillars without patterns will be deleted. The direction of the Arche pillar will be adjusted to look toward the battle area, and the drone’s pattern will be designed vertically. Also, to make the gameplay experience better, tumors that covers the pattern ones that block the door will be easier to destroy it. Also, tumors that were once destroyed will not be regenerated.

For the Legion of Darkness, the Occupation Time of an Arche Tile will be shortened, and the Tile will be replaced to easily distinguish its arrangement. The number of wrong Arche Tile will be reduced, and self-destructive monsters which steal the Arche Tile will be deleted. In color puzzles, symbols will be added so players with color weakness will more easily enjoy the game. Lastly, barrier HP for named monsters will be weakened.
Just like other Legions, the puzzle mechanics for the Legion of Immortality will be modified in an easier way. As the Invasion event for Legion of Immortality starts today, based on today’s feedback, we will find more specific countermeasures.

Also, Inversion Reinforcement will also be improved. To let everyone fully enjoy the Inversion Reinforcement system, we are planning to buff most of the effects and will delete the penalty.
Modification in Difficulty for Invasion Dungeons and Inversion Reinforcement will be fixed next Thursday on 1.1.1 Update. Throughout the update, we will try our best to let everyone fully enjoy the Invasion Dungeon in a more comfortable way. After that, we are planning to add matchmaking systems so users can play the Invasion Dungeon as multiplayer mode.

Also, the drop rate for Hailey’s Equipment Material (Enhanced Cells, DNA, Stabilizer, Spiral Catalyst, Data Chip) in Invasion and Infiltration Operations will be increased.

Our Dev Team wanted everyone, including our users who only have limited time, to finish Hailey in 12 days (in average). Also, we wanted to better support users who can invest a lot of time to make Hailey faster through the Infiltration Operation.

However, to accommodate users’ opinion that Hailey’s farming takes too long, we are planning to increase the drop rate for Hailey’s Equipment Material, which will make around 2 times faster to make Hailey.
The drop rate for Hailey’s Equipment Material will be updated this Saturday on Hotfix 1.1.0b.

Furthermore, we will improve our development process to meet the expectations of our players in future updates. We are considering having FGT (Focus Group Testing) after development is completed, or inviting players to gather feedback before the update is released and incorporating that feedback into the final release.

Our dev team has been listening to various opinions about the first major update from the community. We will continue to respond quickly to issues, communicate improvement directions transparently, and do out best to ensure that Descendants can enjoy The First Descendant for a long time.

Thank you.

First time I've seen company actual address issue instead of either ignoring the player base or having CM Trannies makes fun of them.

my brother plays this and looks nice and the girls are hot. hows the game?
I like it. Its very much the Warframe model of brainless blowing shit up to make numbers get bigger with different builds. The fact that devs are really responsive to players concern gives me hope for the longer term and that they are all in on hot women. Playing and dicking around with your brother would help with the grind for various things. Also will scratch your itch if you got a tendency to like gambling.

speaking off, how bad is the FOMO/season shit? or in other words, how much does it suck starting late?

The only thing you missed was some costimic skins/emotes/backpacks and a mediocre ultimate weapon. And having the chance to pay to have your descendent in a bikini but that will probably cycle around for next year.
Now its all about being a sexy nun.
