Fun fact: otherkin used to exist in Russia during the 1990s. Some fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and LARPers went off the deep end and started to believe that they were actually reincarnations of elves, dragons or other fantasy creatures. It was practically because of escapism combined with heavy drug abuse and alcoholism. Russia of the 1990s was a horrifying shithole, so I guess it's possible that these young people retreated into the fantasy world in order to escape the harsh reality of living in an almost anarchic crime-ridden country hinging on the verge of collapse. In the 2000s, when Vladimir Putin became President of Russia and the overall situation in the country got better, Russian otherkin faded into obscurity along with the whole LARP crowd.

...why do some Americans become otherkin? The USA isn't as messed up as Russia used to be two decades ago.
 
Mental illness probably. Plus I doubt that there are no more LARPers or Otherkin in Russia anymore.
 
Come home today to find that I have no heat for the second time this week. It's 11 degrees outside. Waiting for the guy to arrive to fix it. My day was already sucking kind of hard. So ready to (:_(
 
I just had to spend 7,000 руб for textbooks (~$212).

Though I did get a job, so I'll make that back relatively soon-ish I hope.
 
mom's on my butt for paying $7 a day for parking across the street from the office. Mom, I'm too dumb and scared to park anywhere else in downtown Richmond.

It was a rough week. Long story short, I was sleeping on a flea-ridden sofa in a double wide trailer with 6 other people, a feral cat, and an infant. It's pretty much the reason behind everything that I get quoted on from the Blockland days. I was angry or upset, I didn't know how to express that productively, so I just said the most offensive and dangerous sounding thing I could to get someone to pay attention.

Apparently, Hugh Dillon (Nick's VA from Left 4 Dead 2) guest starred in some English kid's show called Bookaboo.
I keep expecting him to start swearing at zombies.

Lately, I've been seeing other people calling Power Rangers Megaforce sexist in it's portrayal of women. Part has to do with this "romantic" subplot between two of the rangers that sounds like something Chris would believe. But hey, people are noticing and calling it out, that has to be some measure of success.

Still has this sperg go after me for the original forum post, saying it was the biggest grasping at straws he ever saw. It's his way to try and paint me in a bad light during a debate. He goes crazy defensive when people criticize this season, clearly doesn't understand thought out points (in fact criticizes others for making multi-paragraph posts to express their thoughts), making excuses for the season ("They had to cram 50 episodes into 20, of course writing is going to suffer" No, they had 50 episodes to pick from to make 20 episodes, writing still sucks.) and acts like everyone is against him just because he likes this season("On other forums people don't treat me like this"). He'll barge into a conversation, make his excuses and get angry when people argue against him. Talked to one of the admins and the admin is ready to give him an infraction. And it really gets annoying when he goes on about what he says on his podcast.

It's guys like this that take away the fun of debating on fansites.

I'm going camping overnight tonight. It's around 40 degrees, and I haven't been to the camp during the winter and have only seen it during summer.

Then again, all this stuff is going on with Chris, so I hope when I come back I won't see the fire thread with over 50 pages.
 
I just bought the 4th season of Archer. I've only got a few days to get caught up before season 5 premieres. I also bought The World's End, so I now own the entire Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy.
 
This place is filled with alleycats
It's like 34, and it's raining ice. One was very affectionate towards me, he was always rolling around in the streets and rubbing against me. All I had to givehim wasa hot dog weiner. It relieves me that someone else in the area often takes care of that cat too.

I wonder if my cat is doing okay.
 
I only heard about this now but it happened back in December. A TV star in Russia had an interview on national television where he said that "faggots should all be burned alive in ovens" and that they shouldn't be allowed to vote. There have been some repercussions because of his words and I'm kind of terrified. For a country where it's illegal to deny the Holocaust, why is saying that there should be another one acceptable?
 
the Barb look-a-like at my temp job was droning on about her cats the last 15 minutes of work. My supervisor was assisting me and she sighed and her eyes got O_O this big.
