The General Thread

Had to go to the dentist for a checkup today and found out what I already know, I just received my first cavity in my life. I scheduled another appointment tomorrow to get it filled just to get it out of the way and done with, still I was at least proud to have been told by one dentist that I was "dentally blessed" (wisdoms and everything).

Finally gotten access to the Off Topic section of these forums.
Hi everyone. I've been using these forums since the summer but I've only sticked to two main lolcow threads, that of Rat King Leighanna Rose Walsh - who I've had the misfortune to know in real life - and Rat Overlord Christine Chandler. Been quite fun watching these two idiots make fools of themselves.

Twisted my foot today. It's still sore and swollen. So annoying and painful, I hope it goes away soon. (:_(
 
I think there's some legitimacy to the argument of tone policing. An emotionally-charged stance doesn't automatically make someone wrong, and trying to calm them down can easily come across as condescending.
Unfortunately, like most things Tumblr, that argument's been taken by people that don't need it to justify acting like a belligerent fuck, then wondering why people aren't listening and getting even madder about that.

Well I also think that the important thing is that it is simply quite difficult to understand what an extremely angry person is saying and they themselves often find it harder to express themselves when angry
 
Today on fb I saw this post a friend made a comment on where it was a photo of a naked man holding his sick son in the shower with the water running. The mom who took it was trying to defend herself. It looked legit like cp. it was creepy and I hate it when parents parade their sick children around social media. I reported the pic to Facebook and it was taken down before lunchtime.

Good for you to report it. Some people think family baths are still at thing but they aren't!
