I'm having one of those days when I don't feel like doing anything.

I thought of going to a movie though. A mall cinema near me is playing the Fathom Events presentation of Nausicaa rigth now, but somehow the $12.75 or whatever admission for it just seems a little too out of the way for my current budget, but I guess they can't do reduced matinee pricing for these anyway. It would've been perfect too had I had a little more to splurge, especially on food/games at Dave & Buster's later.

Just trying to relax myself on what is essentially the last few days of summer-like weather in my area. I know I'll be stuck with a hoodie soon.

Have a cornea transplant this Tuesday. Been worrying about it since July but at the same time, it's nice having two weeks off of work.

Hope when it's all said and done, I'll be able to see more than just an indistinct blur out of my left eye for the first time in whothefuckknows.

Hope I'll never have to go through eye surgery in my lifetime.

Recall my dad getting cataracts at some point and having his eye bandage for a while after his surgery. I just hope I can simply live without it not being a problem if it did happen.
 
I went to the common room of my new hall tonight to try and make some new friends and they said hi to me but then went back to playing pool and talking to each other in a language that wasn't English so I just kinda sat in the corner eating fruit pastilles for a bit.

This was not a good decision.

Tugboat day today, all the nursing home fucks were out and about in downtown Evanston smoking fresh hand rolled cigarettes and having loud, monotone conversations about boring shit.

Today at a thrift store, there was a laptop they were throwing out because it didn't work. They let me take it anyway and I found out I could at least get the OS resinstalled and a few other fixes for a total of $40-50. Not bad for what is nearly a 10 year old Dell laptop (though not too up to snuff as it's RAM is max'd at 4 gigs so this'll have to be used for simplier projects and backup scenarios).

Plus it's got a torn cord I'll need to patch up, or find another, but glad to see they're not so overpriced at a local computer shop I go to.
 
I almost, almost started a fistfight on a Cta train today. Fuckin assfuck in brand new Jordans, new Cubs hat was panhandling hard, wouldn’t take a granola bar from two kebab teens despite claiming diabetes. Sat right next to me trying to project his “hardness”
He said I’d have more money to give disadvantaged black men if I weren’t such a fatass. Fuck white ppl etc. Hopes my Mom dies, etc. It was the 11th anniversary of her death not long ago.
I’m having a pretty fucked week, ex wants to meet up for dinner and that’s stressing me. Other powerlevel shit too fucked to ever reveal.
I got off the train and walked the rest of the way home to burn off all the murder inside me.
I shoulda at least stole his hat.
 
Fried my MP3 player today. Cheap model where the back was splitting open and I accidentally knocked over some BBQ sauce onto it. Sauce got inside and I didn't get it all during cleanup. I can recover most of my MP3s since they are also on my old one with a cracked screen, but I'll have to see if I still have some of my newer ones on my laptop. It's going to be annoying, but what can ya do. At least it will serve as an excuse to prune my collection.

Edit: Turns out it's not fried, but the volume down button is stuck or something constantly muting the device. Thinks are looking up
