I can't tell if I'm supposed to take this seriously or not.

I guess no reader really needs to take the story seriously, with it being so surreal and weird despite my warning of the tone. Keep in mind I've only posted just five or so of the 108 Chapters I wrote thus far. The reason I take it so seriously myself is because it was important to me to write it out and get the story out of my head. It has actually been sitting in my head, breeding with my over-active imagination and got to the point where the story needed to be told.

What really happened in the world of Pokemon started when they were first making the clone of Mew that became known as Mewtwo. A Virus got into the system, and its programming took the lingering DNA from Professor Fuji's daughter named "Amber" (I only used to be a Pokemon Sperg, okay?), combining it with Mew's DNA, and this was how the "Human-Type Pokemon" were created. It goes more in depth in the Chapter it describes it in.

In the beginning, I was still figuring out how to write these things, since being about Pokemon, I need to include the notion of Pokemon Battles, which I hate to write and aren't even integral to my story (since as you can see, I'm not below having the Pokemon attack humans). However, Pokemon Battles are still necessary, so I needed to figure them out.

108 chapters? God damn man. How do you find so much time to write?
 

Like Bert Convy says, no matter how much is up for grabs, its always exciting when they get to do the "Walk to Super Password" to play for a lot of money. And of course, when it comes down to the wire, they always, always try to make it work for the contestants. So of course, a big rush of mirth happens when those wonderful sparkle-synth bells plays. It's so wonderful to see others enjoying themselves like this.


Here's one where they don't do the "Walk to Super Password" (this always depends on if there's time in the segment for it) but again, it comes real, real close. It's even more nail biting when they need to check the tape frame-by-frame. Really, on this one, why would they take it away from the girl? Besides, they didn't immediately react to her quickly (and justifiably) saying "Memphis." Everything works out in the end, and its wonderful. :) :heart-full:


Here's one more for this post. This is from a mid 80s episode (they started doing the split screen shots in 1986, so this is likely 1985) and this is just one of those many magic moments this bonus round gives. He has all the time in the world to say what's a real easy word, but he's not... so when he finally does, of course you gotta slam your fists down in mirth and glee that he clinched it. You don't get to hear those beautiful bells and sparkle synth without a win.

I just remembered that at 3am I was reading up on homemade prison weapons after reading a story about this girl in the UK who killed a girl in a fight with a metal pick comb.
 
If you thought from culture that Pink Floyd only synched up with the Wizard of Oz for an album, think again.

 
Also, I have no video, because the only Youtube upload I can find is a crap encode with poorly synched and sped up music, but the opening scene to the 80s movie Flashdance is one of the greatest of all time.

I'm all about juxtaposition, and the combining of the great song Flashdance… What a Feeling with the imagery of a construction site, is just great. It's like bread and butter. With the 80s synth-pop song, all the purple reflecting in the shiners, the beam light silhouettes, and the big revelation at the end that the welder is a gorgeous woman really makes it stand out.

I consider Flashdance to be one of three big "80s Opera's"
 
I just got back from visiting my dad for the first time in a while. He's just been medically retired from his job as a primary school teacher (kindergarten to my transatlantic chums), and he has recieved a card from his class intended to convey appreciation.
'Thank you for teaching us' is what the card was supposed to read. Unfortunately, small children's handwriting being what it is, the end result was the rather less appreciative 'FUCK YOU FOR TOUCHING US', emblazoned right across the centre of the card in massive letters.
Quite the sight to see on the mantelpiece of my folk's house...

This kid came into my shop just now with a tub of candy to sell for fundraising or something and I told him I don't have cash. He's now just loitering and asking me random questions. Like, where are your parents, little broski? It's shitty and raining outside why are you walking around doing this?
 
Wait, that's how they chose to end How I Met Your Mother?
