The General Thread

Conversation I had with my brother, who's bragging about how much he knows about Sword Art Online and how great he'd be if he were in it.

Me: What would you name your guild?

Brother: I wouldn't have one, unless my friends were there. Otherwise I'd just be a lone ranger.

Me: Lone Ranger Guild?

Brother: That sounds fucking stupid.

Me: I dunno, can't be any worse than Laughing Coffin or Black Cats of the Full Moon.

Brother: Who?

He would be pro duel wielding solo player.

I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past today. I thought it was a really good movie, but the pacing in the first act was ridiculously fast, and there are some glaring plot holes pertaining to the continuity of the original movies and this one, even before they go and
completely alter the original continuity.
Mainly, why did Xavier
stop taking the drug to stop his powers before Wolverine came and got him back on track?
And why is Mystique
working with Magneto in the first movie if they've now grown apart?
They also refer to a lot of events that happened between First Class and DOFP that were never shown on-screen. But all that doesn't matter as it wrote The Last Stand out of the continuity.

http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/57958/mario-kart-8-and-wii-u-celebrate-chart-success/

After the launch of Mario Kart 8, Wii U sales increased by 666% in the United Kingdom, the Mario Kart 8 bundle representing 82% of Wii U sales for the week. The game was also Nintendo's biggest Wii U game launch in the region.
It all makes sense now:

It can't be meaningless if there is moonlight to frolic too.
I could have worded myself better. I meant, life is not like a work of fiction. It's a series of inconsequential, chaotic encounters without much rhyme or reason. I tend to really get into things and overanalyze stuff, trying to find an overarching pattern or a connection to myself, not unlike how people with schizophrenia see the world. It's like some reality-warping field that tries to assign personal meaning to everything, while in fact the meaning is not there at all to begin with.

But I'm not some kind of a chosen one, or a messiah, or a protagonist, or whatever. That's good, let's go frolicking while I'm still alive!

Since I haven't posted a Super Password video in awhile, here you go

The bonus round in the beginning is a real good one. They start with the "Walk to Super Password" and then the way she gets "Iceland" is just incredible. It's also the loudest I've ever heard the "You won Super Password" song play yet.

I just love this kind of stuff.

My brother just got married. Whoop de doo for him.

Seriously though, it went well and I'm happy for him. It was a nice little private ceremony out in the wilderness with just our families, followed by a cozy little reception for us at the bride's grandparents' home by a lake after the newlyweds returned from their honeymoon.

I'm looking over the review sheet for my Biology exam, and I'm fairly certain that a ton of stuff on it was never even mentioned once in class.
Though my Biology teacher is the actually under-qualified idiot with a victim complex that everyone in my school hates, so that's understandable. I can go on about her for hours. She's terrible.

It's June and you're in school?
