The General Thread

There was this annoying fly buzzing around my room that wouldn't stay still. It took me a while to kill it, but I finally got it by swatting it with a sketchbook while it was on the ceiling. It's still stuck there. I know that it's dead, but I still feel like there's something buzzing around the room.

I got poison ivy again, which I seem to get every Summer one way or another.

There's something different this time though...this time... I got some on my duck (:_(

But in all seriousness, good luck with that. I know what it's like to have uncomfortable skin conditions. For about a month now, I've had this spot on the inside of my right elbow. Got it checked out last week and got a diagnosis: common dermatitis. So now I have to use steroid cream.

Burned at first, but that meant it was working. Now the spot is a strange flesh-orange color. I'll take that over the angry pink/red. Looking forward to getting rid of this sucker once and for all.

I never posted on the first one, I mostly lurked. I don't know what happened.
 
At work, I'm learning how to operate the walking stacker and the forklift. The walking stacker is a cinch, and I'm almost comfortable with it. I'm not licensed for either machine yet, but as long as a licensed operator is in the back room with me (not necessarily watching me), I can operate them.

The first time I made an account and never posted. I was banned when they banned a lot of lurkers.

Then I made my second account and was going to post only 10 times which was the minimum but then I became a regular and posted over 500 times before I quit the forum.

Bored with working on websites. So I'm thinking of geting an Arduino and hacking the Canbus system in my 01 Volvo, mainly to put navigation directions from my phone onto the little LCD display in the instrument cluster. Totally seamless navigation without hanging shit off the dashboard. Just enter in the directions on the phone, pair it with the Arduino, and a special app on the phone transmits navigation directions to the Arduino, which in turn sends messages to the Volvo DIM display.

You can actually do quite amazing things with the Canbus system in almost all post-1996 vehicles, if you can figure out the data protocol and splice it into the interior bus port on the back of the radio.

All there is to drink in this house is water and coke. Doctors suggest zero coke consumption, and I've been drinking water all damn day. No juice, no milk, no coffee, no tea, nothing. No matter how much water I drink, I just keep getting thirstier. I guess I just want the taste of something different right now, not something that will quench my thirst.

That happened to me a few times. No matter how much I drank I was still super thirsty :(

It happens frequently to diabetics, and I have a family history of diabetes, but the doctor said that's the last thing I'll ever have to worry about, especially at my age in my condition.
 
That like me and eatting fruit, no matter of it I eat I stil feel hungry
