The Ghostbusters Thread (Old, New, Animated, Whatever)

I just saw a commercial for this movie on the telly.

I'll give Sony this, they're getting this awful-trailer thing down pat, because it was one of the worst commercials I've ever seen in my life.
One thing I noticed from a recent trailer I saw on TV, was how little they showed the main cast. Chris Hemsworth- sure. The crappy effects- plenty. But only one line, as a voiceover, from the black woman and a blink and you'll miss it image of the rest of them.

Yeah, that's not a good sign. Most comedies have a lot more of the main character/cast than that.

They also bombard the shitty pizza ad more than they do their movie because of cheap nostalgia tactics to try and dig out of their financial fuck-up. Sorry Sony, but you guys are fuck-ups when it comes to enforcing movies.

The only possible outlet they could use to congeal their hemorrhaging of money would be to keep the Ecto Cooler drink on sale for the next few decades.

Apparently Sony is trying to sell the movie to the male demographic by not showing the main characters at all.

Because men hate women, so they won't see the movie if it has women in it.

Logic.

Oh oh you don't understand. They just don't want to objectify those strong brave and empowered wymyns by subjecting them to the dreaded Male Gaze.

Oh look...they brought back the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

I'm really glad we're finally starting to see some diversity in American popular cinema. I mean it's an empirically established fact that movies with female leads make more money so this is a pretty good business decision on their parts as well.

I don't see what the big deal is. The faggots in here that hate this movie are just speds chimping cause they don't like Paul Feig and cannot tolerate disagreement. I for one think that the Ghostbusters remake will be funnier than any of the cunts whining about it in here.
i'm kinda stoked for the new movie
the hot girl in class isn't going to ride your dick for this fyi

It looks good tbh I like all-female comedy movies Bridesmaids was pretty good.
you're cool though

What I really love about this clip is the unabashed product placement within this movie.
FIRST SECOND IN - Big ol' Sony logo right above a glowing Coka-Cola sign. Why Coca-Cola? Because they own Minute Maid, who makes their Ecto Cooler drink!

Next shot of the 4 Ghostbusters, another Coca-cola logo. Just in case you didn't catch it the last time. That makes 2 different product placements for Coke in under 5 fucking seconds.

This is supposed to be a teaser for a movie and it is in fact advertising other companies!

Seriously how weak-willed do these movies execs thinks we.... fuck, I'm drinking a Coke Zero.

God... dammit.
