A lot of people were concerned about the number of new users from 4chan, but I am spending much, much more time dealing with users who have been here for 5 years causing each other problems.
Huh, the 4chinners have been like 99% pleasant to talk to in my experience with them. I spent a lot of Easter weekend chilling out in the 4chan thread and they seemed nice.

This would seem to be the kind of thing that gets someone to testify in front of congress if it can hit the media hard enough.

But Null says bad words a lot, so that can't happen.

I would even go as far as suggesting a feature to filter a thread to keep only posts with at least one informative rating.

Easily gamed, easily made useless as a feature.

I know I've brought this up before (and if it's been mentioned in the thread then sorry/not sorry), but can there be a way to control what displays from the random.txt file in the upper-right corner? "Site culture" and all that is one thing, but being reminded for the hundredth time that somebody out there's fine with wearing a pair of crapped-in panties if the offender is cute enough is...unnecessary, let's say.

Speaking of things, can you make a theme where it replaces the Kiwifarms banner to something we can have people in public see and think we are not shitting around typing nigger over and over? Maybe work theme where everything changes to blandness and the banner reads “Excel Tips and Tricks”
Have you tried the "Stealth" style? That's pretty much what you're looking for already.

No for the love of god the dopamine feedback of a sticker score drives the worst people to be as annoying as possible. Updoot culture is super cancerous.
Wow L + Ratio Cringe. Updoot culture is a complete myth according to my peer reviewed study by u/bardfinn. Chungus Kiwi Army, plz give me 6 million Winner awards on this comment to prove this Chud wrong.

Sorry kiddo, in the real world your credit score might be top notch, but here my Kiwi points make me the alpha.

Edit: thx for the autistic award kind stranger!

I would say that a majority of my interest in this program is the ability to get threads featured. There are already three or four I have in mind that are high-effort, not-shit contributions to the site that have been largely overlooked by users and staff alike. But I would continue to contribute even after I was able to see the threads I want featured, featured.

Can this donation status be low-key? I'd rather contribute and still appear as a normal user. One of the biggest reasons I never donated to be a True & Honest Fan and stuck to the merch runs instead is because I didn't want the flair on my profile.

I have a thought; maybe its been said already, but I really miss old Deviant Art, where you could do HTML on your profile.
I would pay to have some boxes I can decorate, or adding a music player, etc.

People did some really cool things on their profile, and it used to be fun to explore.

I think it would add a lot of personality to the website and users. It would be kind of cool to see Kiwis sharing code to tweak their profiles and learn together.

Edit: Also some users create art pieces for eachother, which I think is neat.

However, as more replies are posted on user's profiles, the artwork gets pushed back to previous pages.
All that said, it would be cool to have these custom boxes, where you can frame art pieces done by yourself, or other users. I think it would encourage more art, which I love to see.

That would make us MySpace, not DeviantArt.

I think rDrama.net is the website you are looking for.

Quite a few people complained and got mad that Null didn't close registration. Barely any of the refugees even leave the 4chan thread so it's not like it mattered in the end anyways.

how about we compromise by only letting other people do custom html on your profile?

Once a month, you can feature any post on the site at your sole discretion for 24 hours. These posts will be distinguished from staff features both on the front page and the post itself. I will tinker with this to reduce limits up and down depending on how it's used or abused.
Did you already have a UI setup in mind for this segment? I understand that feature tourism is important to community growth, but making it opted in/out similar to Watched Threads will discourage shitlords from using it as a way to spam the front page.
