The Gun Control Debate Thread - Controlling autism since 2022

You are probably too fat to aim properly or quickly at a bear so...
I love how you continue to prove me right, that you've got nothing but gutter-level insults instead of an actual point and argument.
@Badungus Kabungus If I *have* to take a rifle that can be presented as a "hunting rifle", I have my trusty old Lee-Enfield.

lol, pathetic. I don't count people with AR's who got capped and had little score spree killers. More like suicide by ccw. The other fucker didn't even get a shot. Expect another massacre in a small while. Enjoy your varmint rifle wounds in the spines of your children.
Hurt the bad people.

There's something I want to ask similar to this thread, but it's the reverse.

First thing's first, no, I don't think the US would benefit having gun control at this stage, but would you prefer other countries to have the same gun laws as the US? Like say a third-world country?

The right to self defense is an inherent human right. I mean, should these be the only guys with guns?

The right to shoot your neighbour's dog/child's kneecap/own wife and mother-in-law should be universalized and facilitated.

This is what I'm talking about. You don't have an actual argument or a point, you're just blindly insulting people and hoping that you'll make us feel ashamed so we'll comply with your demands.

I already said my actual arguments a couple pages back, and you all avoid them like the plague. I will quote Stan from the AR-15 thread who put it beautifully.
What part of the current gun culture is well regulated or serving the state? None but the police and the armed forces.

Guns are for killing and destroying things, but there's a prevailing culture to act as if they're like collectibles. Those who buy them because they worry about a ban and they think they need one are inviting a killing tool to live in their house. I don't see a culture of safety; I see a macho culture that wants to treat guns like collectibles, and gun makers encouraging them.

The guns end up getting used. We all know that gun accident injuries/fatalities (toddler kills sister etc.) suicides, and other unfortunate happenings are possible if you own a gun. We also all know that these fatal accidents are fairly common, enough that I could shit the thread with examples if I need to. And what about when all these surplus, basically-new guns end up falling into the wrong hands? My cousin's house was burglarized last week while she was on vacation, and that pro took everything he could steal. If they owned a gun, that gun could now be in the hands of a practiced criminal. It's dumb edgy white guys who buy a gun for a hobby who are most likely to have the same gun taken from them and used against them. Locks and lights deter and prevent burglaries much more effectively and safely than firing a gun down your hallway at a presumed assailant will end them. (Edit to add: Just ask Oscar Pistorius.)

Hopefully, the stupid gun hobbyists have theirs in a drawer or safe somewhere 95% of the time and theorize about increasingly silly scenarios in which they would need a gun designed to kill herds of wild hogs in Africa. But the guns aren't staying in the trophy case. Adam Lanza's mom was a hobbyist: her son was a monster who murdered her with her own gun. Criminals who steal these surplus guns from normies can use them later. Collections get sold and end up god knows where. I couldn't get into a hobby that causes so much unintended downstream murder; it's like breeding fighting dogs 'for self defense' because you think it'll rustle the PETA people's jimmies. You're asking for problems.

That said I do think people who need guns to to their jobs (security, hunting, defense from wild animals) should be able to get the kind of gun they need, but they have to be vetted and permitted. In my utopia, you would need to prove to the licensing board you're a hunter, and keep certifying you are actively hunting from year to year to keep your gun. If you want to play target practice with guns, you use guns provided by the range. If you're a rancher in Montana whose cattle keep getting killed by wolves, you apply to Fish+Wildlife and the sheriff for a permit to buy a rifle. No more stupid overpowered COD guns would be sold to random dickheads whose only reason to buy one is wanting one.

The gun makers are the people who profit from all of this 2A sperging anyway, you saps are just the ones getting killed.

And by the way, saying to a tranny that he's a mentally ill lunatic doesn't mean I'm out of arguments as to why. Same logic here.

"Guns are scary and sometimes people use or store them wrong and sometimes they get stolen. Therefore all law abiding citizens should forfeit their right to self defense."

I'm sold. Taking a chop saw to my Aero X15 as I type.

ETA: "you all avoid my arguments like the plague." Youre so full of shit.

"Bu bu but ARs are just so powerful!"
"A shotgun has more power."
[silence]

"Bu bu but ARs shoot 500 yards!"
"Where are all the 500 yard mass shootings?"
[silence]
(Note: Vegas is the only one I'm aware of)

"Bu bu but primary weapons in video games!"
"There are 100+ year old lever actions in vidya as primaries."
"Yeah! And Miculek uses them to shoot targets!"
"K?"

"Bu bu but cops cant take out someone with an AR!"
"Some kid with a Glock did just that."
"Suicide by CCW!"
"Lol w/e dude."

That's because he claimed he was a "lefty who knows his stuff", but clearly demonstrates he's a fucking moron who gets all his information from MSM and Call of Duty. So to him, we are "bullshitting!" because we don't use made-up terms like "war rifles", and "avoiding" his "arguments" because we don't play his fucking word games.

A modern war rifle is a real term and people know what you mean. They think M16A4, M4A1s or even H&K 416. Variants of the Armalite platform. Or AK's or Daewoo's K2. You have to be pretty intellectually dishonest to play dumb and pretend you don't understand.

So they "know what you mean," but they're "thinking" about military weapons that are unavailable to the public.

Is this an admission that you deliberately use deceptive language, or an admission that antigunners are stupid?

It's not too different even in terrible parts of the world, as most require a permit that can be easily acquired by paying the right person(I'm not exaggerating) comparable to specific states in the US, but the lopsided economy in those countries is its own form of restriction albeit by coincidence.
I could see it doing quite well in their respect, monetary issues notwithstanding, since even in the early 20th century the US had to deal with roadside bandits that also currently exist elsewhere.
