The homeless - What do we think about them?

You house them on gibs taken from the rich, if they agree to set of conditions:
- look for job
- clean up
- no drugs or alcohol
- no criminality, violence or harassment of others
All supervised.
Failure to abide by terms=eject from housing. Arrests and jail if criminal behavior occurs while homeless and individual refuses to reintegrate.
This is supposed to be temporary as they are reintegrated and find employment.
The money is plentiful, especially in the West. If you can send billions to Ukraine, you can have homeless reintegration programs like this. Just tax Bezos and Musk types much higher. Maybe occasionally take a mansion or car from them if they're annoying too. Who knows.
State powers can be a marvelous thing in the correct hands.

Guy who lost his job and was bad at saving money for a rainy day. 18 year old kicked out by parents who never even eased him into it by getting him job experience. Kid kicked out by bigoted parents. Transient laborer who smokes too much cigarettes.

These people only stay in a shelter for a week. Full sympathy. Every measure to give them comfort. They will probably not wreck a place for no reason or leave needles everywhere.

2. People in San Francisco/Vagrants

Mentally ill or retarded - possibly both. Will randomly attack people, leave needles everywhere, or smash up a hotel room. Warped by pure entitlement or insanity into something dangerous. Probably best left in a prison or asylum. Should be banned from accessing services until after an evaluation.

It doesn't matter if you're ''joe schizo'' or ''joe lost your job'' you're treated the same if you go homeless. They throw everyone out on the street to die equally just so you know. It's the boomer mentality (''let em' die'') and there's no way around it and no on will be helped when destitute. The best thing to do is try to avoid this fate yourself. It would be nice if ''down on their luck types'' could be helped but let's be honest with the way society is set up that's not going to happen.

I think we're about to see a massive spike in homelessness because of the job market right now. If nobody is hiring, how are they going to pay rent?

And so, the crime rate will rise up dramatically. They're not going to just sit there and die after all. Who would?

I'm not sure what the outcome of such a thing will be.

Giving them hard to come by low income housing is unfair and that housing should go to more functional people. We really do need a hell of a lot more affordable housing. But junkies will turn any space you give them into a filthy den of ill repute

Exactly this. They don't even destroy it from neglect, but just to destroy, to force people to give their meaningless existence notice. Europe tried to solve the problem of homeless housing being too expensive by creating these sleeping pods that have heating. The bum can crawl in there to get drunk or inject whatever, lock it from the inside and sleep without being harassed by other bums. Of course, what happens immediately is that after using it once, the bums shit and piss everywhere inside so that no-one else can make use of the pod.

They are just shitpeople and if we were being reasonable, we would simply destroy them.
