This is fairly new from the people who brought you Danganronpa. Anyone got it?

Thinking about trying the demo although the game is evidently censored on switch....

OP, can you at least add one trailer to the title of your OP? Anything recognisable whatever?

I'd genuinely forgotten this game existed.

Anyway, I'm sure it's like everything else they made after danganronpa - a game wishing it was allowed to be danganronpa without undermining the meta-wank that nobody really liked from danganronpa in the first place.

With that said, pairing up danganronpa's between-case chill time with a strategy game does have some echoes of FE to it's mix, so it might be good.

I think it looks like poo-poo but I'm biased because I hate Dinglerompers.

That acting...

I've always disliked Danganronpa's artstyle, and it looks hideous as ever in three dimensions. Didn't they also release some wigger-urban influence gacha recently?

I'm interested too. Just having a peek at metacritic sounds like it was hit by the lolcalizer stick though. Complaints about zoomerism like:
One line where a character said something on the lines of "you'll get pwnzored" was just Hai aka yes in the Japanese version
So that already has me weary. Another one also complained about characters being unlikeable because too many are psychos, but I find that a more subjective issue (though psycho + zoomerspeak sounds like a wretched combination).

As for gameplay itself, I don't see anybody actively bitching about it, so sounds like it's serviceable at least.

It's good, be warned though this is at least a hundred hour commitment and can be more. It's long as fuck.

I just completed the S.F Route, which is considered the True Ending Route, and my only thought is "That's it?" I really hope there's more to it.
The battles do get repetitive, especially because 99% of them all take place on the same map with very little variations; you'll be seeing and skipping the same dialogue, cutscenes, and battles over and over and over again as you do each route to get all the different endings, and a lot of endings are really short.

Apparently its an entirely UK based cast with most doing......an attempt at an American accent. I'll take it over the overused faggots directed by Patrick Seitz and the Arems any day though.

Dubber btfo yet again imagine continuing to use westerners that constantly ruin your game's writing because they think they know better.

Though this is the worst game in the series Despair Girls was better and I hated Despair Girls. They should have stopped after 2 the story is over move on.

And the best part is no troons allowed in the UK so the dubs will be flawless.

Every single screencap i've seen of dialogue has that clearly-rewritten DEI slop vibe to it.

Actually the story ends with 3 which is 2 anime seasons that aired simultaneously, followed by 2 specials.

Say it ain't so are you really trying to um actually here. If you read what I said you should see that I said they should have stopped after 2 as every game proceeding it has been worse. I don't think I am even going to finish hundred line as I don't care about any of these character which is the greatest sin a writer can commit.

Only reason I got into Danganronpa was because I wanted more Phoenix Wright and zero escape type game.

3 isnt a game though its an anime.

Also the cases in v3 are pretty good.

I just started playing this, I really like it so far.

I’m playing the Switch version, and I had no idea it was censored. I haven’t noticed any censorship so far so it must be pretty minor.

In regards to the "DEI" localization complaints, even as someone very adamantly against localizers butchering authors' original writing, is it fair to say that this is the one case where, so far at least, I honestly don't give a shit?

In terms of using the "egg cracking" term -- please explain the difference between "I don't hit girls, so go get a sex change so I can punch you in the face", and "I don't hit girls, so go trans so I can punch you in the face". Some of these claims feel fucking pathetic too, like how the localization is disrespectful because it says "In spite of everything, I'm still me, right?" instead of "No matter how you look at it, it's still me, right?" as some sort of Undertale reference. It feels like an overly sensitive mockery of actual issues people have with Western localization in the video game/anime industry.

Purists who want everything to be stiff-sounding 1-to-1 literal translations are just as cancerous as those localizers that shit on source material. Also, if your complaint is the mentions of lesbian/gay themes, then I'm sorry to say, but you're probably barking up the wrong tree, because there are multiple in-game CGs with lesbian/gay tones.

As far as the game itself goes, I'm done with roughly 1/3rd of all the routes, game's definitely massive. So far, Kodaka-written routes are mid, and the one Uchikoshi-written route I've seen has been complete garbage. I don't know how, since I've heard the guy's a great writer, but that was genuinely terrible. The other writers that were working under his direction have a good track record so far, I definitely liked the killing game route. For some reason it seems to have a better idea of how to use what the game offers than the routes made by the actual directors.
