This is every tech company. Not even C-Suite. The very second an Indian executive or even director comes on this happens. I've witnessed it in every company I have ever worked in.

Jeet comes in, fires some of his immediate reports. Replaces with more jeets, those he brought in do the same thing. Within 12 months your jeets go from 5% to 20% of the company.

Their entire reaction to this incident demonstrates some of the worst PR instincts I've ever seen. Part of me wonders if Indians are unhinged enough to switch gears and change their talking points to something along the lines of "it was just black people, they weren't even American, decrease the punish" thinking that will more broadly appeal to the American public.

My college pastor was married to an Indian lady, and if she wasn't brown, you wouldn't know. Spoke perfect english, with no accent whatsoever, and made normal American food every time we had lunch at their house. As far as I am aware her parents are not in the states, nor are there plans to change that state of affairs.

Couple that being a possible (if not likely given that Vance is catholic), with him having condemned the H1b games that have been played, and I kinda doubt that the doomerism here is really all that necessary.
