Yeah Spanish and Hindi are both just flabbering and slurring syllables on and on at a machine-gun rate. I have a copy of that July 1981 issue of National Geographic, with an article on Bombay (which was later renamed to Mumbai for some reason). Even back then, it was quite the city. There was a housing shortage, so even a number of the employed were sleeping on the streets. And of course Bombay Mumbai looked rather dirty and noisy, even back then.

Samir has a few online handles under the name "stkinthemud". On Reddit, he exclusively posts in r/southasianmasculinity and r/ABCDesis. Entire book sounds like what I keep saying they do, ie the "used car jeet salesman" tactic ie "trust me I'm one of the good ones", books like this are designed to appear like they hate Indians but somewhere in there is brown bullshit to warm you up to them. There are no good ones...

Anyone who posts on that reddit board is Indian and trying to warp perception of India to appear more positive, literally 5% of the content of this thread is just from there. Agreed. The Catholic church I went to in Kyoto had a pretty big foreign contingent, pretty heavy on Filipinos and some Americans. I think there were at least a few actual Japanese in there, though.

There's a sizable Christian minority in Egypt, like 10-15% of the population. They're a third of the population in Lebanon, and there are some in Syria too. I'm not sure about the Assyrians since they might've left because of Saddam but for what it's worth one of his ministers was a Christian.
