I will say, my opinion is that India has vastly overestimated their hand. They thought they could get the US to come around by doing a few photo shoots with Putin and Xi. A lot of countries still think this is the 90s and 2000s and we give a fuck about the global order. We don't and we're not going to countenance semi-hostile shitheads just because we want to pretend like the end of history is still a thing. All this stunt has done is reaffirm the general American sentiment that India is not a reliable partner and we should be winding down our relationship with them.

So yeah, have fun with the jeets, China and Russia. Be sure to import a few hundred million engineers and scholars to do the needful.

I've heard apocryphal stories that at least one reason open defecation has been so ingrained is because its an opportunity to shit on the dalits. Dalits are the lowest rank in the caste, so their job is to clean things like this up. People will streetshit entirely to get off on the feeling of power of forcing someone else to clean it up. Because you're a higher caste, you 'deserve' to do this and treat lower caste awfully.
