Naw, Bore's vid was posted years before the NC did that.

And then he demands they bring back Boo Berry because he assumes if a ceral executive watched his video he'd run in his office and scream "WE GOTTA GET BOO BERRY BACK ON THE MARKET, THE IRATE GAMER SAYS SO."

Ah, the Irate Gamer... Haven't watched him in a long time.

Even if he didn't rip off the nerd, if there is one major flaw he has that is quite amusing, it's how he doesn't take the time to do the research.

That's the best part of any retro review, after all: A little nerdy history lesson about a certain game, full of trivia and such. Sure, the AVGN may get a few facts wrong here and there, but at least he takes the time to study it more than IG.

IG, on the other hand, is infamous for this lack of research. I think at one point, TVtropes had a page dedicated to all his blunders.

I love how he put the merchandise link square in the middle of his selection bar, while his actual videos are off to the side. It's nice when a site's layout immediately tells you what a person is doing it for.

I don't know. I have very mixed opinions on TGWTG, but I can't leave them alone because it's great background noise. Now that NC has come back, it's better now than what he was doing one or two years prior leading up to his "death". NChick can be really awesome and informative, as well as Paw's Music Movies. And I can never pass up a MikeJ review.
Linkara is just grating, smug, and makes a lot of stupid mistakes.* Sometimes Phelous and Lupa are really funny, but a lot of the times I find myself bored listening to them. And I kind of wonder how BlockBuster Buster got onto the site.
I think one of the main reasons I can't say I'm really a fan of the site is the fucking comments section. I can't.

Back on topic, there used to be a guy who did youtube breakdowns of why the Irate Gamer is a jackass. Don't know if he stopped making them or what, but I loved those.

*The most recent one I can think of is in his latest installment - a character says their costume is "raunchy" and in context she means "gross" but he takes it as saying it's "too sexy". Words can have multiple meanings, Lewis. Pretty sure you majored in English, too. I hope that's in his top whatever screw-ups video. Even then he'll defend his mistake because he can't just be humble.

I like his videos alright, even though I think he purposeful misunderstands shit sometimes just so he can flip out about it. My big thing is that I think Linkara would be the least fun person in the universe to hang out with, anytime he talks about shit out of character he just seems like the biggest stick in the mud I've ever seen.

Doug Walker is just a squealing retard who primarily aims to entertain other squealing retards. His shit is decent background noise, but nothing I'd call good. I like the cinema snob though, he seems like a bit of a dick but somehow is also the only one out of all of them that seems to realize how unimportant making videos on the internet is in the big scheme of things. Spoony seems to be back on track to actually being funny. I guess he finally got over his GF leaving him and got his meds sorted out or something.

I don't understand this obsession with putting a "story" in your reviews though. Cinema snob is probably the strongest writer/actor out of any of those knuckleheads and he's the only one who's smart enough to realize how silly/distracting it is and just makes movies and serials with his friends instead. Spoony's the only one who comes close to doing it right (in that he pretty much just has running gags or MST3K framing devices) but he's so fucking inconsistent... Any time they try to have a serious story it pretty much just ends up as everyone making ultimate Marry Sue versions of them selves with stupid villains and way to many versions of them selves running around because they don't have enough friends who are willing to go on camera and act like a retard.

Eh, I was really drunk when my friend wanted to watch it so I just assumed that was my problem with it. It defiantly has pacing issues but everyone fucks up sometimes. I haven't seen him defend it as a huge deal and sperg out when people criticize it though (Not saying it hasn't happened, if it has I just haven't seen it.) I know if you told Doug Walker or Linkara their movie sucked they would spend four hours having a fit and trying to sick all their fans after you.

Update: My daughter is doing fine and is enjoying her pregnancy. She still isn't showing but she has gained some extra weight. Won't be long before she will be in maternity clothes. Been hitting garage sales and finding all kinds of deals on baby items. I'm having a great time being a grandma!!!
