I get the appeal. Trying to see stuff on "the other side" and whatnot. The difference is that on Ghost Hunters things are faked and tension is built. He goes for straight up ghost hunting which is dull.

Great thread. I'm a pretty big AVGN fan. I started watching him when he first started posting stuff and have enjoyed pretty much all of it. Reminds me when I used to chuck my NES controlled while playing a shitty game.

But Rolfe spawned so many clones and Bores is among the worst, if not THE worst. He reviews are lame, his "stories" are lamer and he's not even good on camera. Just shitty and boring and not worth watching. There's a reason why AVGN and the Guy with Glasses have made their videos into a bigger enterprise; people want to watch them. Bores inspires nobody. I wouldn't be surprised if his mom was the one buying all his shitty homemade DVDs.

I actully found him before AVGN and watched his videos for a few months. I just figured out how to use the Internet and I thought watching stuff like that would make me cool cause all my friends would talk about how much they liked celebrities on youtube (not saying Bores is a celebrity). But then I found the nerd and started watching him and completely forgot about irate gamer till I found out he was a lolcow

I think that's the story of ninety-some percent of his fanbase. They're all little kids who don't know better and think watching his videos makes them edgy and cool, then they turn eleven and outgrow it.
