In an unintentional-to-Bores way, his acting is fitting for an excessively obsessed gamer that takes video games 'too seriously'. The problem is, instead of owning that about himself, Bores wants to be seen as a heroic figure. This is one reason, of many, as to why he falls short time after time.
In my opinion, the "best" part (and there are not many) of an Irate Gamer video is when he reveals his idiocy. It reminds me of a train wreck, so I wait and see what dumb shenanigans he'll do or say. Again, if he built around being a pompous, misinformed loser, it would help. Instead, he plays it as serious or witty, and comes off as laughably naive.
