The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

This place took off like the Star Wars thread.

There is no way it actually took 7 years to make this trash not unless during that period Druckmann constantly either changed his mind as to the direction the "game" was supposed to go and/or had to fire people who didn't want to work on the "game" because they hated all of the ideas he wanted them to flesh out.

Hold up, I'm really confused. Is that troon or is it some super jacked up woman pretending to be a man? Both just seem so unlikely by just looking at it.

To be fair, its always a challenge in trying to take a character who, for all intents and purposes, could effectively be a demigod in power by the end of the previous game, and press the big 'ol reset button on their abilities setting them back to square one in the sequel, all the while doing it effectively.
A lot of times that's why sequels will do what Deus Ex Invisible War did. While the writing of that game had issues due to the fact that the game tried to cram the 3 endings of the original (IIRC) with vastly different outcomes into a single story, it did away with the protagonist of the first. JC Denton, now fully enlightened and with augmented powers is a background character who you end up talking to. You on the other hand are a brand new character made solely for that game, and that was one of the better design choices in that game. You're a clean slate with no knowledge of any sort of crazy conspiracies the series is known for.

I saw a few people complain that Mankind Divided didn't do this and instead badly tried to reset you back to square one despite the fact that in the last game you became super powerful and learned of the conspiracies and all.

Cero only cares about upskirts, tho I can see them taking an issue with the blood and violence
Violent games in Japan do get censored out quite often and I know that Japanese violent video games have a very specific warning label on them. It's not uncommon for there to be both CERO D and Z rated versions of games, such as with the RE2 Remake or No More Heroes.

On another hand Persona 3 is rated M (17+) in America, while it's rated B in Japan (like a T rating or PEGI 12+ rating)

To clear up the confusion: Naughty Dog's statement is that Abby is not a Tranny. This is a lie. Neil Druckman is a sadist, and he gets off on cutting holes in people and fucking them.

There is no way it actually took 7 years to make this trash not unless during that period Druckmann constantly either changed his mind as to the direction the "game" was supposed to go and/or had to fire people who didn't want to work on the "game" because they hated all of the ideas he wanted them to flesh out.

No it didn't. What took 7 years was Druckman purging everyone but his yes men, having the studio walk out, having the environment be so toxic it was only able to hire Hollywood animators

So, watched first 2 hours of playthrough.

Ellie is a teenager at this point.
- Joel sings Ellie a song about how he couldn't live without her. It's as cringy as it sounds.
- Ellie is established as bisexual.
- Some guy made a rude remark about her kissing another girl. When he apologizes, saying he was drunk and offers her sandwiches for her trip, she gives them to someone else and calls them 'bigot sandwiches'
(interestingly, Dina, who kissed Ellie, was drunk too and when she apologizes for her behavior Ellie acts like it's a-ok. Guess it's only not ok to do dumb things while drunk if you're a CIS white male)

At this point, you take control of Abby
- Abby is a bitter cunt because their soyboy dumped them and knocked up an icky cis woman.
- She heads off to infiltrate the town Joel and company live in. Zombie killing ensues (no signs of cordyceps)

Back to Ellie
- Ellie and Dina go on patrol and talk about subjects that once again enforce they're into girls.
- FORESHADOWING
- There are card battle cards you can collect. Seriously.
- Long period of boring as fuck patrolling abandoned buildings and killing the occasional zombie. Finally cordyceps!
- After like 40 fucking minutes of the above (seriously), they come across a giant weed grow and a bong made out of a gas mask. They find some joints and toke up. Dina asks how Ellie rates the kiss they shared the other night. They make out.

Yeah, it's just as bad as we thought, and we haven't even got into the meat of the story yet. Jack spent most of the time sperging over the graphics (which are admittedly beautiful). He's acting like he doesn't know a thing about Abby so either he's not been reading anything to avoid spoilers or he's being willfully ignorant.

They're too lazy to model characters under a blanket. In fact almost all studios are, the only game to date to model someone under a blanket to date is Deadly Premonition.
Deadly Premonition rules because it looks like it's from the ps2 era but was on ps3 and they just shoved it full of a million little fun things you can do that have no bearing on the plot. I'm so excited for the second one.

I just think PQube is doing something retarded at this point. It's always them.

Prelude to the Fallen has a similar scene and nothing was fucking touched.
The thing is it's clear this is no set guideline and Sony picks and chooses when and how to enforce it.

If Sony is unwilling to even clarify and enforce it evenly they should drop it.
