The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Druckmann is once again shit-talking anyone who didn’t like the game.

The gif is another one of those “lol we remade a meme with out characters, aren’t we quirky?”, but it’s actually pretty horrifying to see in motion.
I'm dedicating this post to the devs and animators who had to watch countless hours of snuff films and gore whilst creating gifs for the co-CEO of Naughty Dog so he could dab on the haters.

Director Craig Mazin also explained the decision to cast Bella Ramsey as Ellie:

Bull God damn shit. So after auditioning / casting couch-ing hundreds of actresses, they just happened to go with someone who played a obnoxiously precocious child in another HBO show that shit the bed? I know it's a petty point that they can't really be honest about to bitch about, but that's laying it on thick when the actual reasons are that she's cheap and can deal with the set being a green screen.

The momemt "I CRIED!" appears in any media shilling circus I know it's horseshit. Did they also get Kevin Smith to be one of the snot noses? Also sounds like Cuckman just wants to do a David Cage game with that grand description.
All David Cage games with the exception of Omikron: The Nomad Soul have been even smaller in scope games than the average naughty dog ones.

They're about on par with the average TellTale game or Life is Strange game with just how limited they are. They have much higher production values, but there is not a whole lot to do in them. If Druckman wants to emulate David Cage this basically means the studio will be making much smaller games than they've done in the past, this possibly might mean a quicker turnaround which all things considered might be a good thing since Naughty Dog has developed a habit of being slow. But if they're going to put a heavy focus on story it's not going to help them in the long run, every other one of Sony's studios can do a decent story and marry it to engaging gameplay. If Druckman is going to toss out gameplay in favor of doing story, it's going to wind up having the same fate as Telltale games where there's no reason to play it and what gameplay systems exist are a farce.

With another studio now handling Uncharted it's certainly looking like the other IPs that Naughty Dog has worked on will find homes elsewhere. I would not be surprised if Jak gets announced to be in development by another studio.

With the Director's Cut of TLOU Part 2 possibly happening it makes me wonder if they're going to finally retcon Joel's Death.

Then again if they go the Zombie Joel route that could also be interesting. Have variants like what The Walking Dead had where zombies afflicted with different strains of the Wildfire virus kept some level of sentience or enhanced abilities. Hell if they turned Joel into a cross between Resident Evil 2's Birkin Monster and something like Swamp Thing that could be cool.

I cannot rate this optimistic enough.

I like Pedro Pascal but lol no thank you to this overrated overhyped bullshit. Also Nick Offerman faggotry in the show no fucking thank you I don't need to see him getting it on.

This is all just to massively inflate Jabba-i mean Druckman ego higher and higher.
The most frustrating part is that I think Pascal could do a legitimately great job as Joel if he was in something that was actually just a proper adaptation of the game. He's got the acting chops to pull off a character like Joel and he shines whenever he's given a good script. It's just that he happened to be cast in this version of a game adaptation- a narcissist's self-congratulating wank fest that he's going to use to prove how much better he is than those filthy video game writers, a series that seems to be defanging the original game and shoving in a bunch of unnecessary superfluous shit. He was the one cast member that I was actually somewhat interested in seeing onscreen, but the lingering disgust from the second game, the overhype from the media, and every word that comes out of Druckmann's mouth killed any desire to watch this show before said desire even existed.

Only thing they'll change is you'll get more angles of Abby taking it up the ass while Druckmann furiously jacks it

I'm convinced Cuckman will dwarf any budget from Quantic Dreams to "achieve his vision" even if there is no interactivity with the player outside the start menu. Naughty Dog has been dead for a good number of years now.
HBO Asia released these two promotional posters for the HBO TLOU show, and Drunkmann's ego is right on display again, as his name is in a larger font than the title of the show, and even larger than the HBO logo:

Also, could anybody explain to me how Cuckman jewyed the company away from the old guard? What had he even done before being crowned the king? While backstabbing Amy and chucking her under a bus did all of the old guard just leave and left the keys on the car?

Also, speaking of Amy, has she done anything after getting shanked? I wasn't an active gamer during the PS2 and PS3 era but I did enjoy Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver.

Druckmann seixed power in the company by simply outlasting everyone else. Everyone above him left sometime between his hiring in 2003 and him becoming co president in 2018. Amy seems to have been the only one directly pushed out. Everyone else cited burnout and wanting more freedom.

Amy appears to be part of Forspoken coming out early next year. Might be too woke, we'll see.

Ok, almost certainly too woke: "applying nail polish unlocks special abilities"
