The Legend of Heroes Series - Possibly The Most Underrated JRPG Series

Enjoy the final stretch. It's a ride. What's your core team this time and how much are you abusing the orders system?
Currently but subject to change since the franchise has the habit to make me drastically change.

Rean: double gladiator and spamming spirit combination
Gaius: evasion crit
Elliot: healer/seraphic ring spammer
Emma: full magic dps/ magic reflector
Reserve:
Laura: full dps
Alisa: hybrid dps and healer

If by order you mean the overdrives, then i wouldnt say abuse, but since ive risen my link levels with my current party to the point im triggering link skills 8 out of 10 times, helps expedite the gains for overdrive. Usually reserve their usage for getting out of a tight spot or as a burst window, especially if Rean is transformed.

Machias is broken, consider putting him in your team. I think I ran Fie with evasion build, Laura with her insane strength, Emma with healing and nuking with arts, and Machias on standby for extra turns.

I didn't use male members of class 7 out of principle
Sorry but i follow the Manway principle, i gotta have atleast one other male aside from Rean in my party, cant let the girls take all the credit.

although jokes aside i noticed a trend where In trails so far to me the strongest units tend to be women, which is cool to see.

Finished CS2 the game didnt want me to let me go. That ending though, although i felt the game was easier than CS1. Will give a report once i take a break.

Look up the New Game+ exclusive scene, it's canon.
HES FUCKING WHAT!?

god im starting to hate this shit where they hide very important details and things in the most fucking weird places. I get if they are miscellaneous shit but THIS!?

That trip to Ymir they keep referencing in CS2 that happened in CS1 was cut from the game and turned into a drama CD instead, yeah, it's a retarded decision.

Yeah i was like why they keep referencing shit that happened in CS1. I even thought i missed some secret class bonding event or some shit. Gonna be annoyed of this if they keep this shit up.

Found out that there's an anime that bridges CS2 and CS3 so ill take a break to watch that and then head into CS3.

No don't its shit. Better to go straight to CS3.
Also the voice thing, Xseed paid to get extra voiced lines for 1 and 2 (NIS took over afterward). Every other game in the series has that weird intro voice then non voiced scene. You get used to it though.

Given the abysmal state of the modern anime industry, I knew that the anime was almost certainly going to be trash when it was announced. Watched one episode and I could not be bothered to watch more. Was very disappointed how boring North Ambria appeared to be. And the anime did not need to exist. In CS3 the North Ambria conflict exists as a backstory to help give the sense that there is a passage of time, that things continue happening in the world even after CS2 ends. We don't need every single conflict to be onscreen and thoroughly explored. The backstory described in CS3 honestly sounds a lot more intense that what Falcom almost always portrays onscreen anyway.

You should watch Falcom Academy instead.

It's extremely funny that the entire foundation for Rean's arc in CS3/4 happens entirely off screen until they made a shitty anime years after the series had finished, long after everyone stopped giving a fuck. What were they thinking?
