CAD is also a trade and totally not worthless. The problem is that Chris Q-assed his way through the courses like everything else in his life, and instead of practicing and making a proper portfolio, he was playing Pokemon, creeping on Megan and writing Sonichu.
And getting a year's suspension. And failing his courses. And seemingly not really wanting to be in tertiary education.

I don't know, would the tugboat count as income? I would imagine that they'd count actual earnings, and then things like disability and stuff are separate categories.

He had to undergo an evaluation.

Disability is income, albeit unearned income. It's all counted as money with the potential to buy food with, same as child support, unemployment, etc. Food stamps are a Federal program, so I imagine state-to-state Federal income is going to be counted $1 for $1 against an actual paycheck. The Virginia monthly income limit for a household of two is $1,681, as listed on the state's site. That's actually lower than Indiana, which I think is just shy of $2,000 for two.
While you can get credit for shelter expenses, deductions on essential utilities and prescriptions, they do not give credit for debts, porn, car expenses, etc. They don't make those deductions and want you to have no more than $1,681 left over, that's the limit no matter how you cut it, but if you compare two people making $1,000 per month with different rents, the one with a higher rent should theoretically bring in more food stamps.

I am unsure how much Ontario's is like many states and provinces the limits are different and there is variables , if you have kids, etc

For years he's been in such comfortable circumstances that he's never had to make decisions between survival and his luxuries.

But I don't think he'd die (well, and even not literally, I think he'd sacrifice a lot of comfort if he needs to, to survive). He'd just be so enraged if he has to compromise on things like that. Like how nowadays, he's so pissed off because he's having to decide between legos and survival. He deserves both! He's the original artist! $1000!!

Heh, or, I'm thinking of when he had to plead guilty in court. He was so angry about having to plead guilty, he hesitated for awhile before saying "yes". It was a huge blow to his ego.
I have a feeling that as Chris' world crumbles over the next year or two, there are going to be a lot more of those huge blows to his ego. I hope we're all still around to witness the epic tardrage as Chris faces some harsh realities..

Yeah a big part of my current job is working with AutoCAD Electrical to create and edit wiring diagrams and other schematics. It's a pretty valuable skill set to have to get a job, even if its just an entry level type thing to get your foot in the door somewhere.

It's possible that when Barb goes to the great hoard of fire down below and Chris no longer has an anchor weighing him down, and is finally exposed to the harsh realities of life that he'll seek out the comforts of socialization that employment brings
If Chris ever finds himself employed, it almost certainly won't be because he constructively decided to seek it.

Oh definitely. Really, it's like Chris is riding a bike or something, and refuses to wear a helmet. Chris won't start wearing a helmet until he gets get by a car and almost gets his head squished like a grape. And even then, Chris isn't too bright, so it might take a few close calls before he stress sighs and goes out and buys a helmet. And he only thought to buy the helmet because it was cheap, and he was already at walmart buying some legos.

Yes, CAD is useful to most people, I use it. I say Chris' degree is useless because he didn't learn anything obtaining it. Either some classmate sympathizer held his hand through it or PVCC gave him the cert to get rid of him. Something more hands-on like auto tech or plumbing might have been able to hold his interest and he may have learned something. Either way, it's just speculation now as that :tugboat: has sailed.

Even then it'll be a girls MLP helmet 2 sizes too small for him.

Do the Chandlers get food stamps? TANF is out since they don't have zero-income, but where do they rate on the poverty line as far as monthly income goes? I have a feeling Bob is providing a very generous pension and Social Security for the household, hell, will Chris's tugboat go up after Barb kicks it? At what age did the Federal Gov't deem Chris to be disabled? I personally think the Chandlers get a shitload of money each month, they just have nothing to show for it.

doesn't matter, McDonalds can't take EBT

he should have just been a liberal arts major if he wasn't planning to ever get a job

a 4 year degree would be useless to Chris, but a lot of normal people goof off during the college experience, PVCC was just another day care center that Borb sent Chris to

I just got to thinking:

Remember when Chris told Kacy he got a job interview at Target?
Was that after he got arrested for the Attraction sign and was it the same Target? :stupid:

lol

I don't know On one hand. Four years might have given them time to forget him, and there might have been a different manajerk running the store, but on the other hand, if the same one was working at the store and was the hiring manajerk, well...... I'd imagine Chris and his incident would be hard to forget,

Chris got arrested on that store's opening week, so probably.

My friend worked at walmart and there was a guy he worked with who shit his pants all the time, they don't care as long as they get that tax break

Chris could be a Wal-Mart greeter. Wal-Mart always puts the oldest people or mentally challenge so people think they are kind corporate citizens. Heck, Charb could tag team it together!
