Oh yeah totally forgot about Solidworks, Catia, and stuff like that.At least there are some alternatives for Adobe stuff.
Try finding usable CAD/CAM software for Linux.

I have Gimp on my Windows 10, cope.At least there are some alternatives for Adobe stuff.

That's a lot of words just to say that Linux devs can't be bothered to do shit right.Nigger, there's a countless amount of hardware components and devices out there. A lot of them require deep knowledge of the internal hardware to write a proper driver for - it's common to see things like workarounds in the driver for hardware issues since it's cheaper to fix software than hardware.
It is retarded to expect Linux devs to write all these drivers for the hardware manufacturers.
Microsoft doesn't do that either, it relies on the manufacturers to write the Windows drivers for their hardware.
Likewise i was never talking about package managers, you CAN'T FUCKING INSATALL DEB FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER, is that clear and concise enough of a statement for you to understand smooth brain? Thankfully Gdebi exists which does exactly that. As far as things go I have no issue with my package manager.I have not made any statement about gdebi whatsoever. I don't know what it is and I don't care.
What I'm telling you is that every noob distro has a GUI way of installing packages.
Atleast a dozens because it vseems to me you've only ever used 1. I atleast used 3 at some capacity, Arch, Ubuntu and Debian. There are hundreds of distros. Do you expect me to give you a rundown for every single one?
HoW dO YoU dO tHaT?Open file manager as root - bam you can do root file operations. How is that a hard concept?
lol Luke Smith is a huge retard who falls for every /g/ meme ever.
Lol at the coping because some youtuber doesn't agree with them, keep coping folks.Luke Smith fucking fellates himself in every video, I have no confidence in learning anything from his schlock.
Do you get ALL of your opinions from youtubers then, or just some of them?Lol at the coping because some youtuber doesn't agree with them, keep coping folks.
Atleast it wasn't Linus Tech Tips, your brains would melt.
This might surprise you, but I actually use Linux, but generally prefer Windows.Do you get ALL of your opinions from youtubers then, or just some of them?
This might surprise you, but I actually use Linux, but generally prefer Windows.![]()
That's fair. There are some attempts at it, but it'll still be an adjustment and it's not 100% there. If you sat me down in front of MacOS, I'd have a rough time for the first month or so. The guy being an insufferable cuck aside, Linus' Linux challenge is an example of modern usability (minus the part where he creates problems for himself with the "I know what I'm doing" attitude.)TBH I don't want something literally like Android, but that'd be nice if the Linux community would actually try to be more open to ease up the OS, I'm sure it would actually have a chance against Windows 11 which is the biggest shiniest turd I've ever seen in recent years.
In what distro can't you do that? I never used a noob distro that didn't just let you double-click on it.Likewise i was never talking about package managers, you CAN'T FUCKING INSATALL DEB FILES FROM YOUR COMPUTER, is that clear and concise enough of a statement for you to understand smooth brain?
Ah, so you're mad because you fell for the Arch meme.Atleast a dozens because it vseems to me you've only ever used 1. I atleast used 3 at some capacity, Arch, Ubuntu and Debian.
Sorry, but I don't use Arch. It's your fault for using a distro that is neither beginner friendly nor GUI-centric.Good thing you're giving me all these epic tips, but don't explain to me how any of that works. On my system it doesn't seem fucking possible.
Why are you so defensive about a massive Linuxfag like Luke Smith while also being so MATI about Linuxfags?Lol at the coping because some youtuber doesn't agree with them, keep coping folks.
Atleast it wasn't Linus Tech Tips, your brains would melt.
Ubuntu, Debian and Arch. Yes all 3.In what distro can't you do that? I never used a noob distro that didn't just let you double-click on it.
I only used Arch for 2 months before switching to Debian circa 2017 and started off with Ubuntu in 2016 because it was recommended to me. 2 fucking months, I guess I should have been more explicit in my wording, my fault. Can't expect dummies to be understanding.Sorry, but I don't use Arch. It's your fault for using a distro that is neither beginner friendly nor GUI-centric.
It's obvious you bunch are coping. First you refuse to read anything negative about Linux either on the Newgrounds post, my Linux thread or any of the links I put up then you cry when I post an embed to a youtube video of someone who actually uses Linux frequently. Why are you so defensive about a massive Linuxfag like Luke Smith while also being so MATI about Linuxfags?
Only one of those is a noob distro.Ubuntu, Debian and Arch. Yes all 3.
Why do you refuse to simply tell us what your current distro is?(I should also note that I didn't like Ubuntu, it was bloated and not nearly as functional as my current distro.)
All I care is the specific claims you made about how it forces you to use the command line. It's obvious you bunch are coping. First you refuse to read anything negative about Linux either on the Newgrounds post, my Linux thread or any of the links I put up then you cry when I post an embed to a youtube video of someone who actually uses Linux frequently.
I haven't it used in years, it was bloated and wasn't fully functional for my needs. I do remember not being able to double click DEB files, but if you tell me I could just use "Open With" then cool, it wasn't under my nose immediately. Anyways that wouldn't have made Ubuntu substantially better since I've had problems with it, often some of those problems are similar to those of my current distro, but it had additional problems.Only one of those is a noob distro.
And in Ubuntu you can just double-click on it, or at worst you have to do an "Open With -> Software Install"
Holy fuck...Why do you refuse to simply tell us what your current distro is?
Because it makes refuting your claims too easy?
By process of elimination it has to be Debian. Which is not a beginner-friendly desktop distro.
So complaining about how it's not a beginner-friendly desktop distro seems silly to me.
Also silly to complain about Linux being outdated while using literally the oldest still active Linux distro.
Learn to read man.I only used Arch for 2 months before switching to Debian circa 2017 and started off with Ubuntu in 2016 because it was recommended to me. 2 fucking months, I guess I should have been more explicit in my wording, my fault. Can't expect dummies to be understanding.
Already told you why.All I care is the specific claims you made about how it forces you to use the command line.
I expect you to directly tell me your current situation, instead of complaining that your system is different.Do you want me to say "Debian Debian Debian" over each of my posts or can you just take a fucking hint?
And I responded to it.Already told you why.
It should be preinstalled in all Linux distros. I had to manually install gdebi which I didn't even know I was missing. And I responded to it.
There are GUI solutions for all the things you described but you just keep coping and seething.
Why should it? What's the point of it on a headless server? Or a workstation where the last thing you want is people installing random debs? Those are more common uses for a Debian system than a home desktop. It should be preinstalled in all Linux distros. I had to manually install gdebi which I didn't even know I was missing.
I had my dose of problems with Ubuntu and I'm not in the mood of trying it out again. Why should it? What's the point of it on a headless server? Or a workstation where the last thing you want is people installing random debs? Those are more common uses for a Debian system than a home desktop.
If you want a distro that comes pre-configured as an easy desktop system for home computers, then use one of the many distros that does just that.
Who said it had to be Ubuntu?I had my dose of problems with Ubuntu and I'm not in the mood of trying it out again.
It's like I always say, never boot Arch without a bucket of prop wash handy.Ah, so you're mad because you fell for the Arch meme.

I didn't put the video of that other guy for no reason, it was actually because ubuntu felt slow, but like as slow as Windows 10 and I also heard it had telemetry in it from the same kind of Linux spergs who first recommended it to me and urged me not to use it, so I switched to Arch which was then recommended to me, but I really fucking hated it, worst distro ever. Since Debian is basically what was made before Ubuntu, I picked it because of familiarity.
Holy fuck...
Learn to read man.
