It might be because he's already said he plans on retiring fairly soon, but then again he's just always been like that. I remember an old clip that I haven't been able to find in a while back when he was playing where he's being asked about something like another player wanting to fight him off the court and his response was something like "Well you know I do carry a gun on me so I guess I'd be fine."

All-Star Game has been a massive waste of time ever since Jordan played his last one. I think they're better off moving the In-Season Tournament Elimination round in its place. Make these spoiled fucks play three days in a row like its the Maui Invitational.

I like the All-Star Weekend, though. I will always enjoy the 3-Point Shootout and would rather them expand that to 16 players at the expense of the long, plateaued and frigid Slam Dunk Contest.

Make them shoot head to head in the first round like they do the 3 Point competition in college and high school.

Maybe bring back 2ball as a way to incorporate Hall of Famers and WNBA players organically.

George Karl continues to troll Carmelo Anthony by claiming that Jokic is the greatest player to the wear the #15 in Nuggets history.

The usual suspects are getting their panties twisted and screaming like the monkeys that they are, but this shit is hilarious.

Jokic is already so far ahead of anything that Carmelo was able to achieve that it's a moot point regarding "legacy". Jokic will likely end his career as a Top 20 to Top 30 player in NBA history (maybe even higher).

Carmelo was a glorified volume shooter and an inefficient black hole on offense who was uninterested in playing any semblance of defense.

It has been 3 days since the ASG and I still can't get the taste of how god-awful it was. Nearly 400 total points scored and NONE of those were competitive points. Ridiculous amount of stat padding. You could tell no one wanted to be there and they played like Walmart cashiers going into another miserable day at work. Adam Silver ought to be ashamed of himself as a commissioner of one of the Big 4 of North American sports leagues. To congratulate the Eastern Conference team for scoring the most points in ASG history? In THAT farce of a game? Fucking disgusting and an absolute shit stain on this sport.

Literally nothing good has happened under Silver's leadership (if you can call it that). We've seen defense get completely gutted out of the game, players being bitches about having to play, and now an in-season tournament that literally NO ONE wanted. The only reason the in-season tournament was interesting was because the players were trying to earn extra money, which I'm not against at all, but that's not the reason you play professional sports. Players aren't competitive in the same way anymore and this past weekend really exemplified that for me.

I know Jordan gets his name thrown out there a lot, but the guy was ALWAYS competitive. He wanted to get in his opponents face and force them to beat him. Even when he lost, he didn't roll over and allow a train to get run on his team. Hell, even Kobe Bryant exemplified what it meant to be a competitive figure in the modern age. The soul of the NBA left when Jordan retired and I think the spirit left when Kobe got killed. It's going to be a long time before this game has any semblance of competition.

@Illidan Stormrage

He's probably already at least top 30, to be frank. Only 15 guys even have multiple MVPs to begin with and he's on track for his third, even if under weird circumstances. Carmelo left Denver on bad terms and Jokic wasn't expected to be anything special when he was drafted, so it's not like they set out to give him 15 from the get go specifically to erase Carmelo the way he thinks they did. Dude just got unlucky that the dude drafted 41st who picked 15 because 15 is just the default number for the European backup center is now going to overshadow him.

Saw a graphic online that in the 1993 All Star Game, there were 62 fouls committed.

Even the 2003 game had 37 fouls.

This year's faggot game had a grand total of 3 fouls.

They just cared a lot more about bringing the heat even in a meaningless game, because players back then were maniacally competitive.

There were a bunch of technical fouls last night.

Two videos with different broadcasts for the Pelicans/Heat fight:

A phone video of the big breakout:

The Warriors/Hornets altercation wasn't much, just like Draymond with his gangsta gestures:

The Denver Nuggets are foregoing their post-championship White House visit, citing the need to prepare for their matchup with the top-seeded Timberwolves. Talking heads are not taking their excuse at face value and are claiming that the decision was politically-motivated. Internet sleuths have brought up the fact that team owner Stan Kroenke donated $1M to Trump's inaugural committee (while conveniently omitting that he also gave $100K to HRC's 2016 campaign). It should also be noted that they were initially supposed to meet Biden in January, but the White House had to postpone.

I personally believe the Nuggets are being genuine about the Timberwolves (the announcement was made prior to Karl Anthony Towns' injury). Nonetheless, I expect a bit of redditor seething as well as right-wing grifters making videos about how the based and red-pilled Nuggets told Brandon to pound sand.

I tried to watch the Celtics vs Pistons game tonight and there is a female announcer, not good. Then they start interviewing some dyke about the WNBA, like wtf is going on -click- enough of that. Turns out it's some Women Empowerment bullshit. Not recommended.

The hope is if they keep pushing it like a sport of equal stature to the NBA the public might be deceived into caring.

Sports media is on a big women's basketball push. I barely watch men's college or pro anymore, but articles about women's college ball end up in my recommendations.

Currently, these are the official standings for the Eastern and Western Conference teams in today’s NBA, courtesy of DuckDuckGo:

It’s still an early prediction and so much can happen, but I would like to one day see the Thunder or Timberwolves in the NBA Finals. To see both of them improve in just a span of a few plus years is nice to witness.

Right now, however, the Celtics are clearly trying to win another ring. The last time they actually won one was when the Big 3 of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen were on the team.
