Most Average Luka moment.

As a bandwagoning fairweather fan/faggot, I am officially turning this game off. Some days all you do is throw up bricks, and the Celtics are WNBA tier even on open, uncontested layups tonight. Ugly, ugly, ugly. Must give credit to the Mavs though, this is the first game this Finals they've looked like a legitimate contender. Still, if half the garbage the Celtics were throwing up hit, this game would be a lot closer. It is what it is. 🤷‍♂️

See you Monday.

Hopefully me doing this sparks a comeback for the ages. But I can't possibly imagine it will.

2018 did have LeBron playing like a god for a bit in a series nobody really expected him to win anyways. This year's finals haven't been that interesting to me as someone who's pretty neutral. The games haven't often been that close. Usually it's in favor of the Celtics, but today's is pretty ridiculous. It's funny, but it does get kinda boring when they're *that* far ahead and the Celtics have thrown in the towel.

It's rare to see two whole quarters of garbage time but hey here it is.

Your 3s not landing, well that's just life, but Tatum kept throwing really shit passes into traffic. Like, I'm actually kinda wondering if they threw this on purpose so they could win at home.

Let's see how that headline from Conservapedia about the NBA finals will age.

On a slight off-topic sidenote, the guys of American Thinker posted a rant about Caitlin Clark.

Caitlin Clark: A Successful White Female in the Black WNBA

By Al Bienenfeld

Caitlin Clark is a budding young star in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), fresh off an outstanding college career. A talented young woman, Clark is bringing much-needed publicity to the beleaguered enterprise, which was founded only in 1996 and played its first game one year later. Since its inception, the league has never turned an overall profit. Revenue for 2023 was estimated at between $180-$200 million. Compare that to the $10 billion (2022) for its male counterpart, the National Basketball Association.

If not for “wokeness,” it’s likely the WNBA would not exist.
This explains why WNBA compensation is low compared to almost any other professional team sport. Players earn well under $100,000 annually. Caitlin Clark’s base salary is only $76,000. However, for a chosen few like Clark, there are high-paying contracts from clothing endorsements for shoes and other apparel. She is only one of several WNBA players to merit such contracts. Clark has generated a massive amount of public interest in a flailing venture.

By succeeding, Clark has been on the receiving end of sheer hatred. Not just because she is successful but because she is a white woman succeeding in a predominantly black league. There have already been incidents where other players have tried to physically hurt her on the floor.

Tim Hardaway Jr being one of three players with 5+ threes in a quarter of a finals game (Ray Allen, Curry) is incredibly funny since he’s still unplayable outside of garbage time.

Average margin of victory 2024 NBA Finals: 17.8 points
Average margin of victory 2023 NBA Finals: 9.4 points
Average margin of victory 2022 NBA Finals: 13.33 points
Average margin of victory 2021 NBA Finals: 11 points
Average margin of victory 2020 NBA Finals: 10.17 points

How does anyone watch this garbage? The closest average margin in the last 5 Finals is 9.4 points? This is competitive basketball at the highest level in the world? Jesus

Kyrie giving a hearty as-salamu alaykum to his buddies on the Celtics with two minutes left was kinda funny. Overall a rather boring series that went pretty much the way I expected it to. It's really difficult to handle a 5-out offense where everyone can shoot 3s.
I guess we could said the Mavs ran out of luck. :story:

Btw, it's already five years ago then the Raptors won their first NBA championship and how their fans celebrated that victory .

I’m almost a week late, but congrats to the former Knick turned Celtic Kristaps Porzingis for doing what the NY Knicks could not do: actually win a championship ring in the modern day.

Here’s to hoping that the other former Knick Tim Hardaway, Jr. can win one in his future. All I’m saying is you’ll be seeing an actual reality where former NY Knick players just might be winning actual rings with their new teams.

They must be extra seething that the Dallas Stars got to the Semi Finals of the NHL and that the Texas Rangers are the latest champions of the MLB
Let's see next season if the Dallas Stars will be able to do an encore as well as the Texas Rangers just to piss off more the Cowboys. :story:
