I don't know about anywhere else but where I live sportstalk radio stations have become all gambla all the time now and the past couple years totally owned by the sportsbooks. It was pretty depressing today listening to them all downplay this as an isolated incident like we're stupid. Wasn't that long ago a head coach getting arrested by the FBI for rigging would've threatened the existence of the entire league for any sport.

I definitely don't blame casual fans for not caring. The commissioner himself suggested that people who got fucked out of watching live games in the new media deal to just catch clips on TikTok or YouTube instead. There's a lot wrong with the league even beyond the gambling shit.

States are already banning prop bets in college sports so dickheads stop sending death threats to college kids. I imagine the scope will increase to pro sports and more states will start banning them.
