Yea the setting of this show is super weird, it's clearly 2020s culturally and technologically with drones, Amazon, Covid masks, people identifying as non binary.

But Norm also identifies himself as a Vietnam veteran in the parade episode and if he's mid fifties at the oldest he'd be born in 1970 and spent most of his childhood and teenage years in the 80s which weren't exactly the good old conservative days.

There's an almost unintentionally Hilarious symbolism in having a guy who was at most a kid/teenager though most of the 80s now a cranky old man even though he'd be at most 50....and somehow has a teenage daughter.


New norm really shows the gen x'ers have become their own worst enemy....old people.

Weird, I could have sworn this was a Daily Wire production but Wikipedia says it was independently created by two people named Akiva and Sophia Prell.

Both of these people are so obscure that they do not have Wikipedia pages and IMDB also lists no writing credits apart from New Norm on their almost entirely blank pages.

What the actual fuck? Is this a CIA propaganda gayop?

Yariv Newman and someone named Yosef Behar (guessing that's "Jose") work at https://pitchdevstudios.com . Akiva Prell, who seems to have paid Pitch Dev Studios to bring this idea to life, is some kind of CEO / political advisor dude apparently known for convincing Jewish people to vote Republican.

So yeah, if you were thinking it's kinda weird for a cartoon to have no creative credits roll at the end, or listed anywhere on its twitter account or on its IMDB page, this might explain it. When your cartoon's target audience includes groups who think Jews are a media-controlling, baby-eating lizard race, it's probably best to obscure the fact that your entire creative team (minus the AI help) is of Jewish heritage.

This being 100% Jewish also explains why Norm is a Vietnam veteran with a teenage daughter. There are some absolutely wild age gap marriages within orthodox circles. Like 60s men marrying twentysomething women doesn’t cause even batting an eyelash.
