I've never been a fan of Florio, but his obsession with Kneeling Nog pushed me onto a new level. The guy was a bum at QB and his two legitimate shots at getting back into the league were disastrous. Yet I'm sure we're going to get another post speculating that Kaepernick might get another shot with a team.

At least the players seem to think he's a moron too, based on some of the responses I've seen when his name is mentioned. PFT is such a faggy mess and I don't know if it is due to Florio or Florio selling out to NBC. At least the original version didn't treat itself seriously.
Florio is becoming a useful idiot. With Schefter and those guys, they are just useful tools to spread out whatever narrative players and management want to send out and people have understood that these guys are just reporting what they are told. Florio is being manipulated to think a way someone else wants him to think

Guys my team's week 1 starter is Geno Smith. I'm starting to think we might not beat Russ in the revenge game monday night.

Jokes aside, this is going to be a real miserable season for the Seahawks. Here's hoping this year's QB class looks good.

No, you guys are going to get crushed week 1 and trade all these new picks for Jimmy G
I still think it was a mistake choosing Pete over Russ on ownership's part, but if they sell the farm for Jimmy G I'll actually stop watching this team until both Pete and Schneider are gone.

Idk who holds out longer. San Fran eventually gets hit with Jimmy G's cap numbers and releases him but Seattle has to play with Geno Smith for a few weeks. Should be fun

CJ Gardner-Johnson got traded to the Eagles earlier today, the Saints just don't have the cap space to give him the contract he wants/deserves as he is one of the best nickels in the league. I'm guessing rookie Alontae Taylor will be taking over his role.
Even worse, in what maybe the most baffling part of this, the Saints:
1. Traded him to the Eagles, an NFC team, that they have to play later this year, and might face in the post season
2. Got almost nothing back for him (a 2023 5th Round pick and the worse one of their the Eagles two 2024 6th Round picks).

I wish I was making that up.

Yeah but its either that or he walks for free. Sometimes getting a few shitty draft pics is better than nothing

Was doing an in-person fantasy football draft, and one of the dudes was a huge Seahawks fan. Branded Polo, license plate, bumper sticker, etc

This was the same day Geno Smith was announced as the starter, and I couldn't help myself from just shitting on their team's QB situation. I wasn't even trying to do it deliberately and I'm pretty sure he wanted to kill me after the 3rd time I brought it up.

But if Geno Smith is your best option at QB, you fucked up somewhere

I'm choosing to believe Pete is writing off this season as a development project and we take Stroud or Young with the second pick in the draft.

If Geno Smith or Drew Lock are your starters in any way you are fucked. Drew Lock can't read a defense and locks onto his first read 60% of the time. Geno makes boneheaded plays and is Geno Smith. Do not know why he would get mad. He has to know how bad they are.

QB is everything in the current NFL. Without a good one you are pretty much screwed. So, going from Russell Wilson to the JV QB's they have.... It is gonna be a rough season for Seahawk fans. It is also why I'm fine with teams taking their shot for a QB when they need one. Give up what you gotta give up to get your QB.

Yeah, depends on the guy, and I didn't know this one very well. So he may have been taking it as direct shots at him or he might be a reasonable lad.

And you're spot on. My views of the sport as a fan have shifted radically in the last 15 years or so. Even though guys like Daniel Jones may be a miss, if he's the guy a team likes, they should absolutely overpay (to an extent) to acquire him.

The moment I realized I, and most fans, don't know jack shit in general is the good ole 2005 NFL Draft. This was the first draft I was autistically interested in. As in I could probably list the top 2 rounds of picks in order after it was all said and done. Either way

>Be me, a Packers fan

>Spend months interested in guys who would fall to us, like Mathias Kiwanuka, Thomas Davis, David Johnson, David Pollack (my favorite because I like white DEs who were dominant in college)

>Watch Aaron Rodgers fall, think nothing of it

>Watch Raiders trade up in front of us, whom I thought were saving us from potential scenario of drafting a QB. Those fucking retards draft Fabian Washington DB Nebraska because he was fast as fuck.

> Lose my shit when I see us draft A-Rod. He was a Tedford product and had some wonky ass way of holding the football. (I'm not even the typical negative internet commentator who sees doom and gloom after a failed drive)

> Years later, "Shit. This guy is pretty good. I might be a retard"

Now my yearly pastime is to watch Reddit fans lose it because some guy that was mocked in the 7th get picked in the 5th. Same people also believe that if a 6th rounder isn't an immediate stud, then the GM should be fired.

Funnily enough, Nick Collins was picked in the 2nd round of that same draft. A literal who, everyone on suicide watch. And he ends up being a potential HoF, sans neck injury.

Now I'm a reasonable sports fan. Since A-Rod has spoketh about ahuyascah, I've been telling others that we have to show our support by joining him in the spirit realm. Gotta make sacrifices for the squad.

My brother in Christ I remember that draft too. I was trying to tell Packer's fans that the Aaron Rodgers draft was the best pick of the draft and to just wait and see what would happen.

Of course it wasn't really my idea but there was someone I was watching who's opinion I respected and he said that so I repeated it

Yeah if you're going to tank and do a rebuild you may as well go all the way.

If you're thinking in terms of next season's draft picks, it's better to have a complete nightmare of a season instead of springing for Jimmy G and having a mediocre one. Sucks for the fans, but the smart ones know what's up.

Not just the fans, but any coach and/or players who end up losing their jobs because of the season

Can't speak to players, but none of the coaching staff are on the hot seat. Jodi made her choice clear picking Pete/John over Russ this spring, and the most we'll probably get in terms of disaster is quiet retirements by those two instead of getting fired.

They say that but you never know until the end of the season. Also it sucks for the players. You don't get many snaps in the NFL and you are wasting a full season at the most on a wasted year

The most threatening thing is injuries, really. I'm sure most GMs and coaches take a franchise tanking and rebuilding into account when considering who's good and who's not.

Rashaad probably gonna lose a limb on the turf.
