Perhaps Goodell just big brained all of us and needed to see whether Watson serving a suspension or having to play for the Browns was a bigger punishment.

He might put this suspension on delay so Watson plays a few games. Then once he becomes good again, bam, slaps him with a year suspension so he sucks for 3 years.

If that's the criteria I think Watson's just being shelved forever. One completion out of 5 passing attempts. Two were complete fuck-ups by the receivers so I'll grant him that at least.

Imagine being paying this dude a quarter billion dollars.
Those throws look a little rushed. He might be tense. Perhaps he just needs a massage

lol. Lynch drove so long on a flat that he wore the outer edge of the rim away so there are only spokes left on the left front.

Watching the Bucs vs. Phins preseason game just so I can see what Trask is up to.

I like how the Browns started Watson and he went 1-of-5 and meanwhile tonight we started BLAINE GABBERT and he goes 5-of-5 with a TD on a 72-yd drive. Even Trask is doing better than him...

e: I'm gonna say Skylar Thompson is a QB to watch for...

Detroit went 4-0 before their infamous 0-16 season, the preseason is to acclimate your new talent to the system you have.
Also, every time Blaine Gabbert gets mentioned I have to link this fucking fire music video.

Lock wasn't too bad, but holy shit our defense is a travesty.
These are supposed to be the young studs we rally around? oof.

Saints had a good preseason game. Despite the fact that they lost. People need to remember that the point of these games is not to win but to 1) Get new talent acclimated to the system, and 2) decide who's going to actually make the roster. Andy Dalton all but cemented that he's the Saints go to back up by putting on an offensive clinic, and might even be able to carry the team if Winston gets hurt again. Ian Book was a mess, and the Saints may just end up rolling with only two quarterbacks this year if he doesn't shape up. Trevor Penning showed that he needed work, but our main guy at his position played solidly, so no biggie. Chase Hansen, despite only having been picked up last week, made a statement, so he's probably making the team, while Tre'Quan Smith continues to not live up to expectations, and may not make the team. All in all, despite inconsistent play from Book, the Saints could have still won that game.

I am amazed at how well Hard Knocks does every year and yet people still take these preseason games seriously. FFS these teams do open practices together for a day or two before playing the game. None of these preseason games mean jack shit

I'm really cool with the Eagles loss to the Jets, Jets ran their starters all game we pulled ours after THEY FUCKED CHEAP SHOTTED OUR QB and oh only 15 yards, sorry bro games mean nothing let me try to break a fucking ankle .

I'm sorry that isn't my fan boy coming thru, was nigger dirty.

When the coach of the opposing team feels the need to go talk to your coach and apologize you know it was a fucking dirty play.

Presumably you are trying to make the team during these preseason games. I think having your head coach have to apologize to the other team's head coach for a dumb play you did is a pretty solid way to get yourself cut

The NFL and NFLPA have apparently reached an agreement to suspend Deshaun Waton from 11 games, and give him a $5 million fine that will go to charity. The deal hasn't been finalized as of now, however.

Well, that's the Brown's season down the drain. Better luck next year fellas. Well, that's a free win for the Saints later this year, so I'm happy.

I would assume the Watson camp has to agree to this. Idk if they really put up a stink with this or not though
Double posting, since I can't auto-quote in an edited post: Not sure if Watson and his camp have to agree. This is an agreement to avoid having Goodell issue a decision on Watson's suspension himself, as the NFL appealed to him directly. Its the NFLPA that was negotiating, not Watson's camp. If Watson's camp does have to agree, they would be stupid not to, considering that the alternative is potentially being suspended for a whole year, or longer (since the NFL wants an indefinite suspension, that lasts at least a year).

Edit: Apparently, its official now. Watson is suspended for 11 games this year.
