Honestly, considering the past 2 seasons with Lamar's injuries and possible fake injuries, I would just put some tags on him until he RG3's himself. Then you just rebuild again.
I was thinking yesterday how the Ravens would feel if he accepted their offer. They must be breathing pretty easy while Lamar has to be shitting himself.

I agree, but I would much prefer dealing with it now rather than down the road when our good players are old.
Nothing says they can't just decide to draft a QB soon. Packers did that with Love and it turned Rodgers around for 2 years. Worse case scenario for the Ravens drafting a new franchise QB is Lamar decides to extend a contract and starts playing

Dodged such a massive bullet

Aaron Rodgers might be the biggest bitch on the face of planet Earth, so I wouldn't go assuming that what works for him will work for anyone else.

So if it doesn't turn Lamar around, you have a new QB with about 3-5 years of contract control. How is that a bad thing?
I don't think he's disagreeing with you. You're both probably correct as I see it: having some kind of insurance in the form of a potentially capable QB is good; also Rodgers and Lamar aren't the same guy between the ears and the latter may not respond in the same way (but again, regardless, it's still good to get that backup option for Jackson.)

Yeah. I think my assumption was that the point of drafting the QB was to motivate Lamar. But in all honesty, they probably should move on. The type of QB Lamar is will just have him hurt more and more until he becomes a consistent name on the Injured Reserve

3 of the first 4 drives for Jacksonville have ended with Lawrence getting picked... and there's still 90 seconds left in the first quarter. :stress: Austin Ekeler already with his second rushing TD for the Chargers.

If somebody Hamlin'd on the field right now would they give the game to the Chargers?
Maybe. Right now the entire Jaguars team is getting Hamlin'd though. :story: A FOURTH pick given up by Lawrence, and Asante Samuel Jr. has THREE of them.

Edit: I think they're cursed. Now they lost the ball deep in their own territory when it bounced and hit their returner on the head during a punt return. :story: :stress:
