Coaching contracts are, afiak, fully guaranteed 99% of the time and there is nothing legacy owners (where the team is their whole income stream) are more allergic to doing than paying someone to sit on the couch. It's why the Bears keep getting stuck in this cycle where they pair a highly-drafted rookie QB with an obvious lame duck head coach, sabotage his development, and then make him learn a whole new offense (with a coach who may think he's ill-suited for the offense he wants to run), QB doesn't develop, have to draft a new one, etc, etc, etc.Eberflus won't lose his job despite being a dead man walking because Virginia McCaskey is too classy of a lady to fire someone in season, or something retarded like that
